"Great room, great location, great restaurant"
We were very impressed by this hotel.
The room was clean, roomy, and modern, with a large, flat screen TV, a stereo, small couch, and a safe.
The bathroom was large, with lots of counter space (the bathtub was a bit slippery though, so be careful).
Front desk staff members spoke excellent English and were always attentive and helpful.
Didn't have dinner at the restaurant but had tapas at the bar, which were excellent! The mini hamburgers and the fried goat cheese with apple sauce were especially delicious.
Metro station two short blocks away, and an inexpensive, late-night internet cafe right across the street . Went there every night to check email and always found an available computer.
If it's in your budget, I definitely recommend this hotel.

"I loved it - Great Hotel"
My husband and I stayed on Christmas Eve and the staff was so kind and diligent. The hotel and the room were absolutely gorgeous, very trendy and comfortable. Ours was a suite and had a super nice terrace. The location is wonderful, Gran Via 11. Our room wasn´t facing the street, so we didn´t have any trouble with the street noise. We had a desk, a minibar, a sofa, a bed made in heaven, aCD player, TV, slippers and robes (they let us keep the slipers for free). The bathroom is an interior design experience, you will see it in the pictures.
Highly recomended. We will definitely stay here again.

"cool, great location"
Stayed 2 nights in a superior room. Good sized spacious room, separate dressing area and good sized bathroom. Wooden floors and plenty of light. Staff all very friendly. Free wi-fi or cable internet. Good buffet breakfast with hot and cold items for €14 which is not bad for Madrid hotels. Very recommendable and good central location. Also great roof top bar with vies over whole city.

"Our expectations where high and Hotel de las Letras exceeded them"
My wife and I have just returned from a 4 day trip to Madrid. Our decision to stay in Hotel De las letras was predominantly based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and to say we were pleased with our choice is an understatement. From the moment we spotted the hotel's livery as we walked along the Grand Via it was obvious that the this was a premiere establishment. We were greeted by the friendly receptionist who was glad to humour our basic attempts at Spanish and ensured we were aware of all the hotel had to offer. We were left with the impression that nothing was too much trouble. The standard room was a good size and tastefully decorated, bathroom was excellent (liked the double sinks) and our view over the Grand Via was superb. And the soundproofing meant we enjoyed a good nights sleep while the madrilenos continued their festivites into the wee small hours.
We didn't eat in the restaurant however did order room service and were not disappointed. "Burger" was practically a piece of steak and my wife tells me her risotto was exquisite. Bar was relaxed but a bit pricey but then you don't go on holiday to spend all your time in the hotel bar do you ?!
All in all we loved the hotel and would recommend it to anybody looking for a well-located boutique hotel in this fantastic city
