Sexy Funky Front
If you are considering a holiday or a few days break to a european city, Copenhagen is a definite must see. Picturesque and modern with a safe and clean feel to the city. The public services are excellent, the food is nice (although expensive), Danes good fun on a night out and overall very friendly.
When deciding on a hotel I was hoping for a good location, nice rooms and perhaps something a little cool. Hotel Front was all that. The hotel is located near Kongons Nytorv, a lovely square in the city centre. This is also a metro stop that goes direct in 12 minutes to the airport. Located on the waterfront you are first met by what looks like a large hotel. We arrived early for check in and unfortunately had to wait a few hours to get our room. This was not a problem and we were helfully advised by the staff regarding the city and storing our luggage. The lobby of the hotel is chic, cool and modern. The restaurant and bar are on your left when you enter and a seating area and televison are to the right.
We were to be given a room on the 2nd floor in the end. A cosy and trendy room were our first impressions. One word of warning though for any heavy smokers is that although we had reserved a smoking room we were not given one. This was not a problem for us however. The bed was very comfortable and warm, the bathroom and walk in shower amazing and tv very cool.
Generally speaking we hugely enjoyed our few days in Denmarks capital city. Our only criticisms are a couple of rude taxi drivers (and expensive rides) that we encountered and the cost of eating out. These two criticisms should be qualified in that, you can walk nearly every where in the city and the experience of eating in certain restaurants is worth the money.
Our hotel experience was very good overall with excellent location, great service and a cool and sexy hotel

"Front Hotel is very well located "
Front Hotel is very well located near the "New Harbor" area. Easy access to many cafes and stores. Near the shopping district and many landmarks. Easy access to transport. Take one of the nearby canal tours.

"a good experience at the Front"
Front Hotel's staff at the front desk were polite and friendly. The lobby was just the way I like it, modern with clean lines. The elevator was super tiny and our luggage didn't fit in one trip. No big deal.
The room was clean and fairly roomy.
The location isn't terrible. There's some construction nearby but it isn't horrible. All in all, we had a good experience at the Front.

"Very Funky"
Stayed here over New years. Very Funky hotel and really well located. Very friendly staff and cool bar.
Main downside are the rooms. Walls really are paper thin and can get very annoying if your stay more the one night.
Still worth a visit as definitely very different.

"Front is a good choice"
We have just returned from an easter weekend at the FRONT. lots of deliberating and review reading (including reviews here )before making our choice. Know how difficult it can be so thought this might help anyone else still undecided.
The FRONT is a perfectly good option for Copenhagen. Fairly new and a bit more original looking than all the generic hotels out there. Location is very good. A few minutes walk from cafes/bars on picturesque Nyhaven canal. About a 5- 10 minute walk into the city centre so fairly convenient. Staff are helpful with accomodating most requests incl. guest lists for bars (eg. cafe rouge). Room service food is good and reasonably priced (for copenhagen!) and you could do a lot worse than the in -house restuarant which was good with prices on par with the equivalent elsewhere. (Neigbouring SALT restaurant does that whole pretentious thing with horribly small portions for michelin star prices - AVOID !)
Tip= Try the Laundromat cafe for something different and informal.
Rooms are adequately sized and the overall hotel finish is very good (but not totally wow ).Perhaps i expected it to look totally amazing after looking at the website. Cool pebble lined rain shower set up.
massages offered , but beware its more of a sports massage (swedish/deep tissue) rather than a luxurious aromatherapy experience.
Long and short of all this...
No hesitation in recommending this hotel for its price range

"Great Hotel and Staff"
On first entering the hotel you are a bit nervous as the lobby gives you the appearence of Funky. However once you hit the desk you realize this is a class hotel with a great staff. We arrived early and our room was not ready so we went to the bar for a cup of coffee. In a half hour they told us they had a room for us and I truely believe they upgraded us to get us a room since I had heard of the small rooms and this one was of moderate size. We spent 5 nights there and got to know most of the staff. They even weighed our suitcases for us since we had been on a 17 day cruise prior to arrival and had heavy luggage. The room was clean, the shower great, the free minibar a nice touch. The location is great, on the water , a 2 minute walk from Nyhaven, and 5 minutes from the bottom of the Stroget. The town hall, Tivoli and the train station are 5 minutes by cab or 30 minutes walking along the Stroget.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone young or old, Enjoy Copenhagen it is a great city

"Trendy and Chic!"
My co-workers and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks. We all LOVED this hotel.
The first week, my room was small/cozy (single bed) with all black furniture and grey walls. The flat screen tv and free wireless internet was a plus. The bathroom was nice...I think the floor was heated too.
The second week, I got a bigger room (double room). The room was all white except for the furniture was black.
I got room serve a few times. They don't have many options as far as food goes, but the item I tried I did like.
Breakfast in the morning was good, staff friendly and helpful.
The only complaint is the lack of parking, but I guess that is true in any big city.
