Scandic Hotel Edderkoppen was an overall good hotel. Rooms are small but well kept. There is a woman at the breakfast room (like the head) who is really nasty!

Scandic Hotel Edderkoppen was great. Excellent free breakfast buffet. Nice, clean rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Not right in the middle of the action, but just steps to all the main Oslo attractions. Would highly recommend to anyone planning to visit Oslo.

"Absolutely fine"
I just don't recognise the place from the previous reviewer's comments - other than the helpfulness of the front desk staff. I can only assume that the hotel has been completely refurbished since then.
The hotel is clean and well appointed for the mid-market business/liesure level it is pitched at. I was booked into a single room by my company but asked for a double bed and was offered a very reasonable price to upgrade to a suite. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the work area was more than adequate. The free broadband internet access was also very welcome.
I has dinner at a very good if slightly pricey restaurant (the Ylajali) across the street - to be recommended.
