Schweizerhof Hotel enjoys a prime location opposite Zurich's main station at the end of the famous Bahnhofstrasse, one of Europe's most prestigious shopping and business streets.
The restaurant is located on the first floor overlooking Bahnhofplatz and the elegant facade of the station. The decor is traditional and again furnishings are of the highest quality.
The lobby is small but grand with a polished marble floor, chandeliers and a small seating area with comfortable leather sofas. |

"top on your list of hotels"
Schweizerhof Hotel is directly across from the main train station, and if you don't have much luggage - please save yourself money and take the train from the airport - it's no more than a 15 minute ride. The hotel is convenient to all sites and half hour leisurely walk to the lake.
The hotels in Zurich are expensive, but if you like a smaller hotel with consistent attention to client and service, then the Schweizerhof should be top on your list of hotels.

"Great time in Zurich"
Great location for tired travellers (just 2 minutes walk from the station) and right smack in the middle of the shopping district, restaurants, close to the old town and other attractions. Rooms well appointed and room service very attentive. Front of house staff and reservations super friendly -- this was a hotel that pays great attention to detail. Breakfast buffet was fantastic.
BTW - check their special AMEX summer rates - a veritable bargain for the quality they offer.
We will definitely return.

"Excellent service - fantastic hotel"
After a terrible experience at a IPR guesthouse who cancelled our booking that we had paid for with no explanation, we walked into Schweizerhof Hotel off the street and were extremelly lucky - the staff were amazing and did everything they could for us. They were having a promotion and so were able to give us the most amazing room at a discounted price and even champagne to cheer us up.
The bed was probably the most comfortable I've ever slept on in my life!
Breakfast (including more champagne) was lovely, the whole hotel was lovely and the staff were even more lovely - I have never come across more helpful and friendly staff in a hotel.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and I can't wait to go back.
The location is fabulous too - right across from the station, though it's not noisy at all as the windows are triple glazed.

"Absolutely wonderful!"
This hotel couldn't have been better! We arrived on 31 December and even with short notice, they were able to book us a table for 6 (including 2 small children) for a New Year's Eve dinner! The staff was so accommodating! We were pretty tired from our journey, so the fact that the hotel was right across from the train station was very convenient. I was worried about the noise, but didn't hear a thing (other than the incredible display of holiday fireworks that you could enjoy from the window). It was within walking distance to the shopping as well. Highly recommend!!

Great Value
This is a good hotel, perfect for the business traveler who will rely on train service around the area. The area is IDEAL and the service at the hotel is great. Friendly people, clean rooms, lovely architecture.
I will stay here again. |
