"Fantastic !" I have no idea what other reviewers are talking about! All I know is they made me very worried about the night I had booked for my husband and our two friends. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. We arrived early and our room was ready which overlooked the grounds and golf course. I can only presume this was a renovated room as there was nothing to complain about whatsoever. All very new and fresh looking with lovely bedlinen and huge pillows. The bathroom was extremely modern and clean. We had lunch in the bar area which had a good, extensive lunch menu and a great selection of wines. Not cheap but you always pay a little over the top in hotels. The rate we had got (£109 for my husband - a golfer) and £89 for me (non-golfer) included 2 rounds of gold for my husband, dinner, bed and breakfast. The 3 course dinner was held in the Cedar Room which was a beautiful looking room. I also want to add that at least two other weddings were going on in the hotel on this particular Saturday, and not once did I feel that the weddings were taking over or that there was not enough staff on to deal with "normal paying guests". The dinner was great and again there was an excellent choice of wines also. Another great part was the hotel holds a dinner dance on Saturday nights which has a band playing. A really great way to round off the evening. The following morning (a little worse for wear) we visited the indoor pool and jacuzzi. Again, really great. There is also a very decent size outdoor pool, so if you are lucky with the weather another bonus. There are tennis courts, squash courts and a croquet lawn. There are probably other great amenities but we only stayed one night and didn't come across them. We will definitely be returning. I can't wait !!
