"staff was very helpful and friendly"
Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. I liked the fact that I could purchase tickets to Second City theater at the hotel. The location of the hotel was close to many areas of interest.

"Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel was a great location "
Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel was a great location to anyone visiting Toronto and doing the "touristy" things. It’s right in the middle of everything (less than 20 minute walks to the ROM, Air Canada Centre, CN Tower, Harbourfront and steps from the subway). Plus it is attached to the underground PATH network.

"Toronto/Sheraton, well worth a visit"
Stayed with my wife and daughter for 6 nights 5-11 July.
Second visit to Toronto and the hotel was 5Star.. Facilties and room/service was top notch.
Very central to shopping/theatre etc and the express bus from airport stops right at the door.
Ate at "Traders" one of our nights, which is the bar/grill at the hotel. Food/service could not be faulted. Didnot like the automatic 15% tip added to the bill. I like to decide my tip!!!
Access to the "PATH" system direct from hotel was great.
Plenty of eating places around the hotel at all prices. However eating out is as expensive as at home..
We dined on our last night at the top of the CN Tower. Great view and well worth doing once. "TIP". Try and reserve your meal a couple of days in advance, you will likely get a window table right away. People who just turn up had to wait at least 45mins+ for a window seat.
Toronto is a great place for a short stay..

"Great Hotel, Great Location"
We recently completed a 2-night stay at this hotel. Overall, we were very pleased with the Sheraton.
Upon entering, the lobby is huge, busy, and very impressive. I now know what other reviewers meant when they had a hard time finding the front desk - we had to make a few laps before we actually found it. Check-in was fast and we were given a room on the 29th floor, with a view of the CN Tower. We could also see the pool from our room. The view was amazing, as we could see all of the downtown skyscrapers.
The room was fine. Nothing spectacular, just a typical Sheraton-style hotel room. The bed was comfortable (as all Sheraton beds are). Overall, the room was clean, but there were some stains on the walls in the bathroom. Nothing too bad though.
The location of this hotel is its biggest asset. We were able to walk everywhere and did not use the car even once. It's very close to Queen Street shopping, Yonge Street, and even the Rogers Centre. We had no issues with safety, and felt comfortable being out at night.
We did use the pool one night and enjoyed it. They also have a hot tub and a fitness centre (at a cost of $9/day). The pool area was nice, clean, and comfortable. Certainly a nice way to end a tiring day.
If you do stay at this hotel, park across the street at the City Hall. Its a safe, underground facility. We paid only $37 for the weekend, while the hotel charged about $31 per night!
Overall, we were very pleased with this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.

"Summer holiday"
Having holidayed in Toronto previously & visited the usual tourist sites we wanted a relaxing lazy time. We wanted a hotel that was central & the Sheraton is excellent in every aspect.
At check in we enquired about upgrading to a suite, $60 per night, our intention was to do this for our second week but after seeing the room we were hooked. Well worth the extra when you have two children. The check in & tour desk staff were very helpful, efficient & we were dealt with very quickly.
The extra room gives a separate bedroom & lounge with sofa bed. The first night we called housekeeping to make this bed up, the porter arrived with two single beds & full size mattresses. These were fantastic & could be tilted & stored against the wall during the day. As you would expect rooms are cleaned daily & all public areas were spotless. Traders & the Steakhouse are worth trying if you can't be bothered going out.
By its very name the hotel is close to everything, whether you want to walk to the ferry or take the subway. There are so many restaurants that the best advise is try any, they are all good & prices are much better than the UK or Europe. Shopping is a nightmare, you will do serious damage to your bank account, most items are cheaper than the UK which means you buy more.
We used the PATH for the first time & found it a great way to move around the city without actually going outside.
The gym & pool area has ample loungers, equipment & towels. We used the pool most days & never had a problem with availability, the remaining days were spent out at the Islands lazing around on the grass or braving the cold water of the lake.
This is a great hotel & whether this is a first or return visit to Toronto I would recommend you give it a try.

"Sheraton is great!"
Just got back from a stay at the Sheraton hotel in Toronto on Monday. The staff were excellent and the rooms were great! Would definately stay there again. As other posters have commented, the location of the hotel gives great access to the key attractions of Toronto. |
