"The best hotel choice"
I have been staying at the Mandarin hotel in Xiamen for the past 6 years, but the Sheraton opened in August so I thought I would give it a try! I travel a lot for business....more than 100 nights a year. Without question, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in in China, perhaps even Europe. If this hotel were located in the States, it woud get 5 stars easy and would be rated with chains such as the Ritz, Peninsula, Four Seasons. People here will do ANYTHING to make your stay more comfortable..The club floor is a bargain..free internet, pressing, shoe shine, comfortable bed..awesome shower. I give it my highest rating..this from a very picky person.

"Great hotel"
I live in Haicang district of Xiamen teaching English. After 2 1/2 months being away from home (U.S.) I wanted to treat myself to a nice night at a nice hotel. I personally checked out the Holiday Inn/Crowne Plaza (Yes, it goes by both names here) and the Sheraton. Being that the hotel is less than one year old helps. Everything is shiny and new. Best of all is a western bed (Sheraton's Sweet Sleeper) that not every 4-5 star hotel in China has. Great bed and great room. The shower is fantasic. The pool and facilities and gym are all included in the rate. The only negative is the free breakfast was below standars for a hotel like this. However, the 98 Yuan lunch buffet was fantastic and had a fresh cooked to order pasta and fresh fish bar. The make your own tacos was the first tacos I have found in all of Xiamen. The area is not the most interesting in Xiamen. However, the largest mall (SM) is only one block away. And all the atractions are no more than a 15-20 Yuan taxi ride away.

"Fantastic Hotel!"
I stayed here in December 2006 while travelling in China for work. This is a fantastic new hotel. The staff are very friendly and polite. The rooms are large and very nicely decorated. The bathroom is great but make sure you are comfortable with your room mate - one of the bathroom walls is glass (but they do have blinds). I will definitely come back here next trip.

"World's Best Hotel"
I cannot say enough about this hotel. After one night, this hotel became my new # 1 hotel. The service is top notch, the food was excellent (had a nice yet quiet Xmas dinner buffet), the rooms are the best I ever stayed in. I am not going to list every adjective I can think of but if you are going to Xiamen, there is no other place to stay. Period!
