"Wonderful Hotel, great location, friendly staff" I stayed at the Sheraton Manhattan (had 2 rooms) from July 8th-July 14th, 2006. Both rooms could not have been nicer. The rooms were very clean and had great views of Broadway. The staff at this hotel is very helpful and friendly. The location of this hotel could not be any better! You are a couple blocks from Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and not too far from the Time Warner Center. I was leary about this hotel after reading some of the reviews on this webpage. I will agree, do not get a room that ends in '18' as these are right by the elevators. I specifically asked for rooms as far away from the elevators as possible, as well as one King Room and one Double Room on the same floor. They accomodated ALL of my requests. The bellmen are wonderful, and you can easily get a cab in front of this hotel anytime. Great bagels at the PAX owned restaurants near the hotel. The beds in the hotel are in fact heavenly. This hotel was also very quiet and we never heard anyone around us. I will say they did have some peeling wallpaper and this hotel could probably use some updating (like a fan in the bathroom), but all of those things were very insignificant in our rooms. We just opened the bathroom door after we showered and it was fine. We were thrilled the bathrooms had an actual counter for all of our make up and toiletries as other NYC hotels don't have that. The rooms are also a very good size for NYC. I loved my stay at the Sheraton Manhattan and would go back for sure.
