* Il Vigneto:
Open all day, this restaurant features a large exhibition kitchen. Offerings include a Mediterranean buffet and a la carte items such as pastas, grilled meats, pizzas, salads, and sandwiches. The setting is warmly casual with sun-colored walls, comfortable chairs, linen tablecloths, flowers, and plants.

* Tre Fontane:
The hotel’s fine-dining restaurant, open for dinner only, serves Italian and regional cuisine with a focus on fresh seafood. The setting is formal, with yellow tablecloths and paintings of Roman statuary and monuments on the walls. In summer, guests can dine outdoors by the pool.

* Tutta Roma Piano Bar:
This bar offers a wide selection of cocktails, as well as sandwiches, pizzas, and desserts. In the evening, guests can dance to live music or relax in the leather club chairs surrounding marble-topped tables. Come summer, the music and dancing are moved outside by the pool.

* The hotel has a seasonal outdoor pool with a fountain and a sundeck with chaise lounges. A jogging track and tennis and squash courts are also on site.

"starwood copay is good value at this location"
Travelling solo, I used the starwood copay for 2 nights and it ended up 45$/night which was pretty great for rome. But glad I didn't stay there the whole time however. Pluses: 5 Euro airport shuttle, Free shuttle to Plaza Venezia, good business center for interent connection 3 euros of 30 minutes. I was in room 2117 and it was very quiet. Close to airport. Nice washcloths and towels, sheets. Felt fresh and updated. Didn't see any gypsies, which others have noted on this site. Minuses: A lot of large tour groups book this place. Far from city center. Metro stop not really walkable or practical for couples or families--don't plan on using it. I did but I travelled solo with a backpack. (you will see iItalian streetwalkers if you walk to the metro at night which, I suppose, could be a plus if you are into that kind of thing) When I left this hotel, I stayed in the noisy city center and did not sleep much but experienced italy and it was great living in the old city where the good food/good shopping is..... Bottom line: This is a great comfortable place to crash if you have a late flight coming in or an early flight going out -- or if you need to count every penny and are travelling alone. Or if you are there on business. Otherwise, why stay at a Sheraton in Italy? I used this site to get a sense of where to stay so and was happy with my choices. For tourists/couples -- I would stay at the San Carlo at the spanish steps. I will write my impression of that place as well.

"Good quality, comfortable hotel"
We enjoyed our 3 night stay here. Yes it's in not in central Rome and your decision to stay here depends on the rate you can secure. We got an amazing rate of 79 euros per room per night so did not mind having to take the free reliable, regular shuttle into Central Rome, in fact I enjoyed the journey. The hotel had a nice, spacious lobby with bar area and plenty of seating. I can imagine this hotel being perfect in the summer with it's outside swimming pool. I would stay here again, no problem.

"Good Place Outside Rome"
My wife and I stayed at the Sheraton Roma for one night before the start of our week tour of Italy the next day . Overall, we were quite pleased with the staff, room, shuttle bus and breakfast. A word about the shuttle. At the airport, it can be found at the far right up a ramp outside the international arrivals terminal C and its parking spot is clearly marked with a blue sign. Be sure to make you reservation for the hotel-city bus as soon as you can as it does fill up. We went on stand by for any no show seats and we and all others got on. In planning you Rome to hotel shuttle, get to the pick-up spot early and have a plan B in case of a full bus. On the less than optimal side, the A/C in the room was weak and we opened the window that evening. Also, be aware of the hotel location which is about 4 miles or so from Rome city center.

I went this hotel last year. It was very happy time, because of their kindness, and cleaness. I'd like to go this hotel again, not because of Rome's ancient heritage but because of this hotel.. ^^

"Excellent Accommodation!"
Typical American hotel with ample space, unlike most European hotels. The big bath tub allows a good rest after a long day of sightseeing (and walking!). While its location is a little out of the way, the frequent (free) coach rides ensures easy and quick access to the city, dropping off at Campidoglio, just 10 minutes from the Forum and Colosseum. Try to avoid the last ride which can get a little violent, based on our personal experience and the driver will not allow a single addition if the seats are filled. I had to catch a public bus ride (45mins) back to the hotel while my fiance took the last coach seat. At the hotel, try to avoid the first 2-3 levels as the music from the bar can be pretty annoying.

great hotel - good to get away from the centre - a bit expensive but I would say its worth it! Overall I enjoyed the Sheraton experience!!
