"Superb, elegant, cozy, magnificent."
I love modern ammenities and comfort. If you also do, this is the best choice in Florence. Believe me. I have tried 3 other horrible hotels. Florence has many bad accomodations. Be on the safe side.

"all around good"
The location was great - two blocks from the Duomo! Even better two blocks from the train station. The service was very good, although other hotels had a better grasp of English. The bed was great - didn't feel like it was two twins pushed together as in most other hotels.
Ultimately the bathroom is what we were most happy about. It was big. The shower had good water pressure. It was actually a shower/tub combo - ooohhhhh, luxury!

"Great Hotel!"
This was a great hotel in Florence. The location is within walking distance of the train station and if you take a taxi it isn't too expensive but the one way streets make you go a bit out of the way as opposed to walking.
The hotel is only about three blocks from the Baptistry and Duomo - maybe a five minute walk. The San Lorenzo Church and Markets are also about five minutes walk away. You can easily walk to the Ufizzi Gallery, the Ponte Vecchio and Santa Croce. There were many good restaurants in the area - just go looking down the side streets.
The rooms was a very nice size - the same size as most American hotel rooms. The bathroom was luxe with bathrobes and slippers for use while you were there. Beds were very comfortable
The desk staff were very helpful.
Breakfast was in a very nice room, food was good - typical assortment of breads, yogurt, jams, eggs, bacon or sausage depending on the day, cheese, juices etc.
The bar was well stocked and the barman was very nice.
