"Excellent Hotel"
best hotel at our 4 week trip to australia, very nice room, very good service, very friendly staff and concierge service, location is perfect, only breakfast could be better

"Spa with a view"
Spent 5 nights at the Sofitel for our anniversary in March and it was lovely. Our room was on the top floor with views of the harbour, and we loved sitting in the spa and being able to look out at the ocean.
Huge comfy bed, beautiful linen (as always in Sofitel) and a stunning bathroom with a sliding wall that opened the spa up to the views. Staff were lovely and very helpful in organsiing tours and maps.
Great location and an easy walk to the best of Cairns - highly recommended.

"Wonderful stay"
This hotel is in an excellent location, walking distance to everything only a few blocks away from the Esplanade. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and very courteous. Our room was beautiful - it had a hot tub and a lovely deck. The pool was nice. The breakfast buffet was very good - great made to order omelettes.
Head up to the Wildlife Dome gift shop area (right above the casino) where you can see a koala and hold it if you'd like.
Cairns was wonderful - a dive/snorkel trip out to the Great Barrier Reef is a must.
