"Good hotel in the middle of silence and beauty"
Hotel Koli is familiar to me of frequent dinners. The food has been good, but only sometimes excellent. The service is friendly, but with local characteristics.Not like in big metropolitans. You can taste real Finnish food here. This april we had a family celebration and stayed overnight. The hotel rooms had very good standards, and tasteful decors. No bath tubes, but there is a sauna department at the hotel. Unfortunately not a pool, however. Whatever the room decor, the views are just stunning. The hotel is located isolated on a high hill,and basically you get there by a lift from the car park. Of course you can drive in the luggage I guess(pls check). There are hiking paths with stunning views. The hotel is good for nature lovers,hikers, and those who make day trips by car in the surrounding lake district. The kids in our company were happy and received a small package with toys.Also, if you are just learning slalom, the hotel has its own ski slope, usually not extremely busy.And good for those, who like silence, not too much activities.Kind of a retreat.I heard about Dutch tourists, you could not stand the silence, and left back to civilization! But check with the hotel, that there is not a high season.Then the situation migth be the opposite...
