This beach hotel is ideally situated at the heart of Puerto de la Cruz approximately 150 m from the lava beach of Playa Jardin. The town centre is a stone's throw away and features an abundance of shops and entertainment venues. The old town with its popular Plaza and fishing harbour also lie just a few minutes away and Martianez seawater swimming pool and the business centre are 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Loro Parque is a short distance away and public sports facilities can be found close by. Finally, there is a taxi rank and a bus stop directly in front of the hotel.

The Sol Puerto Playa Hotel consists an 8 storey building with a total of 190 doubles rooms as well as a wide assortment of facilities including a foyer with 24-hour reception, 2 lifts, bar, TV room and air-conditioned restaurant with non-smoking area. Furthermore, there is a public Internet terminal that can be used on payment of an additional fee.
