"Very pleasant stay at Somerset" Several of us stayed nearly a week at this Somerset and found it more than satisfactory. Front desk staff was very personable and helpful, beds were comfortable, kitchens were very modern and well kept. Also a very nice restaurant /bistro next door. I would recommend the one bedroom over the studio, due to a feeling of more space and in my case, a corner unit with light from two sides. (#1306) The studios had a separate bedroom, but felt cramped to me. The location of the hotel is convenient - a short walk to Darling Harbor, about four blocks up hill to lovely Hyde Park, also several blocks from Paddy's Market in Chinatown.Woolworths - a large grocery store- is also three blocks away. We initially stayed at The Oaks-Maestri Towers - down the street - but were moved due to its being just kind of scuzzy. ( attractively decorated, but bad work out room, not too clean etc.) We were not paying the bill, so I have no idea of differing costs.

"Nice centrally located hotel" I decamped here after a truly awful experience at the goldsborogh apartments on the other side of Darling Harbour so this was a breath of fresh air! The staff are very chatty and friendly, the rooms while not huge are comfortable, clean and light and airy. The 1 bedrooms apartments have good kitchen facilities. There is not much of a view as it is surrounded by offices but it is v central (2 mins walk to the QVB mall, the trains or Darling Harbour)so I thought it was worth the money.
