LOCATION

St. Catherine is one of the most famous monasteries in the world, a Greek Orthodox holy place connected with the prophet Moses and the exodus of the Jews from Egypt. The existing basilica dates from the 6th century A.D. The monastery is known for its huge library of ancient theological manuscripts and collection of icons and access is limited to professional researchers and theologians.

Ras Mohammed is a designated system of parks and nature reserves protected by strict laws. The park is located in the southern Sinai, 40 miles from the town of Eitor.
