"Hotel Splendid Etoile very convenient"
Booked this hotel after reading tripadvisor reviews. This was our second time staying in Paris and the location was very convenient. It's close to the Champs and we even drove into the city from the Loire Valley and parking on the street wasn't really an issue. The hotel does have a great view of the Arc and the concierges are very helpful, all 3 of them. (Day, evening and night). We were given assistance on booking a day trip to Mont St. Michel, closeby restaurants to eat at and calling a taxi because the Air France buses were on strike. Rooms were clean, except for the countertop. It looked dirty even though it actually wasn't. I think it's the material used and perhaps the bathrooms are not that new. Overall enjoyed the stay there and loved loved loved the location.

"It's True!!!"
It's true! We booked this hotel b/c of the amazing reviews and it was exactly what we expected and fabulous. We stayed for 4 nights and the room (507) was the best! The view was amazing, the size of the bathroom for Paris was big, the staff was very helpful and spoke good english. It was clean and soooo convienient to everything. The metro was right out the door and the bus to the airport was also across the street. I would stay there again. BOOK FAST because believe me they sell out fast!!

"Wonderful Experience"
A wonderful experience...My husband and I just spent 7 memorable days celebrating our wedding anniversary at the Splendid Etoille Champs Elysees. Farouk(Head Congierge) couldn't have been more helpful and hospitable. He helped us to arrange fabulous excursions to Chevery and the Loire Valley. Paul and Wafa were extremely helpful in recommending great restaurants and ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. Our room 403 was very spacious with comfortable beds.We are already recommedning this hotel to family and friends.

"simply the best"
My lovely wife booked our trip to Paris as a birthday present to me. She is very meticulous, down to the last detail and trawled tripadvisor for the best hotel/deal, given her incredible fussyness and requirements when it comes to hotels. With this hotel she even picked the room in the brochure. All details were made personally with the chief conscierge of the hotel, Farouq. Even though we could not arrive at the hotel until 8pm, the hotel room was waiting for us (I had so many doubts on this as it seems customary, in Europe, that even though you request a room, it is given out on a first come, first served basis). The hotel was (is) magnificent. Quiet, elegant, well furnished and above all, comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpfull. They all speak english, which make us mere mono-linguals look a bit sheepish. Farouq in particular is the best kept secret in Paris!!!! His knowledge is limitless. He can tell you where you should and should not go. Where and where not to eat. He can get you the best seats, etc.etc.Great Hotel, Great conscierge, Great holiday.........WHAT MORE CAN I SAY.

"Great location"
My husband & I have just returned from Paris where we spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel. Our room was a junior suite on the 5th floor. It had a good sized bedroom with a nice flat screen tv and a separate sitting area. Doors lead out of both rooms onto the balcony from which you have a good view of the Arc de Triomphe (although it is partly restricted by another building). The main advantage of this hotel is it's location, we were able to walk to most of the major sites. There are also quite a few restaurants and bars in the immediate area. (Lateral restaurant was especially good). We did not dine in the hotel but given the standards of everything else, I imagine the food would be good here. Staff were very helpful and polite. The bar is good for a quiet nightcap. Also worth a mention is the fact that the rooms are so quiet - there was very little noise from other rooms and no noise at all from outside. We would definitely stay here again.

"What Agreat Hotel"
The room was clean and waiting for us on our arival in Paris. The hotel staff in particular, Annabelle and Casali, were most helpful. When we asked about restaurants and using the Metro the staff could not be more helpful. Although our Frence was limited, we were able to communicate very well. The Metro station was out side our door and very convenient. On several ocations when it was evident we were lost, people would come up and ask if they could help. We will go back to France as we had a great trip and everything went so well.

"Truly splendid!"
I stayed at the Splendid Etoile during a glorious-in-every-way, weeklong trip to London and Paris with my 10-year-old grandson. It was the very best place we stayed during the whole time. The room was gorgeous with a little balcony that overlooked the Tour Eiffel. The breakfast was excellent. We had the best of times there, and I will never forget it! I can't wait to go back with my other grandsons when they turn 10.
