"As Good as It Gets -- Really!"
I can't say enough about this hotel. Everything from the view, to the rooms (beautiful), to the staff, to the ambience...It really is like being a Fitzgerald in The Great Gatsby. It's the kind of place where you want to dress up and play make belief for a while. No other 5 star hotel compares. And the views? Well, prepare to experience one of the greatest on earth. It really does feel like you've died and gone to heaven. A few things that stood out: The pool was immaculate. The staff...so warm, caring, yet unobtrusive. The lunch buffet, dinner at Puny restaurant in the piazza (make reservations weeks in advance...it's hands down the best Italian I've ever had). Also, if you want a beach, there's a beautiful walk to Paraggi. The concierge will make a reservations for you. Simply an unmatched and unrivaled experience. If you have the money, don't wait, run to the splendido!

"If I'd be a billionaire..."
If I'd be a billionaire, I would just book a deluxe junior suite from the first day of opening of the season in March throughout the very last day in November, would move my summer wardrobe at the hotel and would just try to spend as many days as possible between one business trip and the other in the peaceful retreat... I think I enjoy the scene of a dinner on the Terrazza restaurant, watching the perfect coreography of the waiters dancing around the tables, even more than a ballet at La Scala in Milan... It is a hotel for happy few, not for everyone, quite pricey but most certainly a memorable experience.... Make sure you spend some time to meet Antonio Beccalli, probably the most enchanting bartender on this planet!

"incredible experience at the Splendido"
the Splendido Hotel far exceeded our expectations - and our expectations were off the charts after viewing the Splendido's website. the place is magical. the staff are charming, accomodating, and professional. the food is exceptional, the restaurants are incredibly beautiful. the service is exceptional, the view and setting are pure magic. the rooms are beyond gorgeous. the bar's entertainers are first rate. this place is heaven. we stayed for 2 weeks, so we got a pretty thorough sampling of their property and how they operate. everything was above board and totally professional. this hotel is on a par with Villa Feltrinelli, the Cipriani, Hotel de Russie, George V...etc. we can't wait to go back.
