st james hotel and club review
We stayed at this hotel 8th November 2008. Although we stayed only one night it was amazing. We booked an executive room and for some inexplicable reason it was upgraded to a junior suite. The decor is extremely tasteful, very art deco (black, beige). In fact all the furnishing and accessories are to the highest standard. The room was immacutely clean, and the bedding was beautiful and the sheets had a very soft almost silky texture. The mattress was very comfortable a bit like the tempur mattresses. There were three plasma tvs. There was even one in the bathroom. As well as a bath tub there was a good size walk in shower with an inbuilt steam system. Ok the only thing which i felt slightly uncomfortable with was the number of painting in the room (portraits of 19th century characters) i'm sure most people would appreciate but personally they quite scary looking for a philistine like myself. |
