"Great location, spacious, quiet nice room, friendly staff, good value for money" We stayed 3 nights and found the hotel room a very pleasant place to come back to after being out all day. The location is perfect and the room was big and comfortable. The hotel is a part of a chain so it lacks some character but still we regard this hotel as a real success that helped us have a great weekend in Barcelona.

"Everything you would hope for" My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel very recently for 3 nights. The location of the hotel is just north of la ramblas (about a 3 minute walk), and there is a major metro station 1 minute walk away, so the location of it is great. We also found most of the staff very friendly and helpful (even the security guards were pleasant), although there was one miserable looking lady with what seemed like a bit of an attitude behind the desk, although she didnt serve us. There is a small but nice bar just behind the reception desk, and a medium sized restuarant for dinner and breakfast. We didnt have dinner there but breakfast had pretty much everything we could ask for and the food seemed fresh and clean. Our room was a nice size and very comfortable, although the double-bed was, as other reviewers have stated, two singles put together, which, although odd, still works if you dont mind that kind of thing, as the beds are very comfortable. The shower is nice enough and the bathroom a nice size. So all in all I can't really criticise this place. Its fairly priced, has a lovely location and has everything you would expect and hope for. I recommend it.

"Great value and location" The HCC ST Moritz is in a great location in Barcelona - central enough for all the sites, but quiet enough to allow you to get some sleep. The rooms are spacious, particularly for a European hotel and are well maintained. The bathroom is really clean and well stocked. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fine. This hotel is clean, friendly and in a great location. I would certainly stay again and recommend to friends.

"Good Deal in Barcelona" Possibly a four star hotel, reasonable during the off season, three blocks from Ramblas and three from two Gaudi masterpieces. Services excellent, clean spacious rooms with great hospitality. Has secure parking on the premises (not included).

"Nice Hotel, Great Location, Good Value" We stayed 3 nights at the San Moritz before our cruise and were very satisfied. Its a very nice, clean, mid-range hotel for those who'll spend most of their time out enjoying Barcelona. The location is great; right off Playa de Gracia and close to shopping, good restaurants and tapas cafes. Our room was good sized as urban European hotels go, the travertine bath was very nice. Housekeeping was excellent and the staff courteous (and English-speaking). Soundproofing was excellent and welcome. Even though we faced the street it was quiet as a tomb. And contrary to another reviewer's experience, the A/C was not turned off at night during our stay. Can't comment on the bar or restaurant...too many interesting places around the corner to stay cooped up in the hotel.

"A Good Value" A very comfortable,pleasant-looking hotel in central Barcelona near the Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya offering excellent rooms with clean,new furniture, congenial service. A good value!
