Starhotel Tuscany is a luxury 4 star hotel located close to the airport of Florence and was established in 1963. The hotel's design recalls the style of ancient Tuscan residences with its unplastered walls, wrought iron, brass objects and antique furniture in carved and inlaid oak.

"Nice and Modern"
We stayed for 5 nights at this hotel in Sept. 7 2006. Location was perfect because it was about 2 miles from the city center. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the city center. At times we used the city bus line number 22 which you can also pick up in front of the hotel and stops in the city center, it runs until midnight. The staff at the hotel was very helpful . We had written in advance for a non-smoking room and the highest floor available and we were granted both. The hotel room itself is very modern and clean. The room of course is small, like in a lot of european hotels,but comfortable. There was breakfast included in the price we paid...which included eggs, bacon, fruits, pastries and bread. There is also a supermarket behind the hotel which is good for waters..wines...etc... I would stay again !!!

"Wonderful Hotel in Florence"
This was the last hotel my husband and I stayed at before returning home. I decided to stay here because of an early flight out of FLR airport. We had stayed at another hotel which was closer to the center of Florence and all the sights. After staying at this hotel, I wished I had stayed here during my visit to Florence. The room was very nice. It was a large room with lots of lighting, chairs and large tv. It had wonderful beds with crisp linens. The bathroom was huge and very clean. The room was facing out to a busy street, but inside the room it was very quiet. The double pane windows worked. The breakfast was wonderful. They had everything! It was served downstairs and set up very nicely. The front desk people were very helpful and all seem to speak English very well. We walked to the center and it was about 30 min. We took a taxi back and that was about 10 euros. I am sure you could take the bus in to town easily. The next time we are in Florence we are staying here, pay less for a hotel and get a whole lot more. With the money you are saving on the hotel you can afford to take a taxi. A great hotel in Florence!

"a great remodel"
Wonderful new hotel: clean, nice bed, nice linens, quiet as can be. Only downside is a bit hard to find by car so get GOOD directions or you might be lost for hours trying to find it. The staff were helpful though, and depsite being outside of the city a little bit, with the shuttle this is a REAL option for folks looking for value.
