"Good Clean Central Hotel"
We were in Vienna for three days in October and because we had so little time, We wanted to stay somewhere central.
The starlight suites are unusual for a hotel in that all the rooms are suites with a living area and a bed area as well as the bathroom.
There is plenty of space in each room-I stayed with friends here on the same trip and we had three rooms-and its all very new and clean.
I would say that this hotel gets quite a few business people. The staff are friendly and fairly knowledgeable about the area.
We asked on our first night about somewhere to eat.The receptionist recommended an Indian nearby-the name escapes me- which was very good.
The breakfast is continental in style although you can pay extra to have a cooked breakfast. The Variety is good and a great way to start the day.
Overall I would say this hotel is a good base for sight-seeing. Its not old-world Viennese but I think it will appeal to anyone who wants a good clean central place to stay.

"Great hotel near St Stephen's cathedral"
Hotel Starlight is conveniently located 5 minutes (walking) away from Stephansdom. The suites are spacious and spotlessly clean (as is everything in Austria!). The room and bathroom are comfy, well-equipped, and we were delighted with the efficient and courteous staff in the hotel.
Recommendations for meals and snacks nearby: the Italian gelateria Zanoni, open from early morning until midnight every day. And for the sushi-lovers, Go-Wok, in the same block as Zanoni.
Do buy a Vienna-Card when you arrive (free transports and discounts in most museums, very handy).

"Loved the Hotel!!!!"
My boyfriend and I stayed there for the 2006/2007 new year.
I can say that the hotel was spotless, the rooms were very clean and the staff was quite nice.
The breakfast is nothing extravagant, but very nice.
The rooms were very spacious and i loved the fact that we had a small microwaves and sink besides the traditional minibar. In our room we had an extra room with sofas, table, desk and tv which was quite nice for meals, watching tv and relaxing...
The only negative point in this visit, was the shower.
Apparently (maybe for energy saving or something), you couldnt take shower after 6-7 pm because the water was freezing cold.
A quick call to the reception and right away they solved the problem.
Very quiet, very close by the city center, supermarkets near by, subway and bus (to the airport) were very close to the hotel (4 min walking).
Overall, it was a nice experience!!!
