"Fabulous room!"
My mum and I stayed here at the end of the year, it had only been opened a month. We were a little nervous on arrival as we had been told it was only a part time reception. We got there (eventually) at 7 in the evening to find that the receptionist knew we were coming so had decided to wait to make sure we got there safely. I warn you though, the hill up to the hotel is NOT for the faint hearted - its steep! its only around a 5 minute walk from the centre of town which made it peaceful compared to the hotels in the square I have stayed in previously. Even better, there is a wonderful patisserie opposite! We were shown to our room on the second floor and WOW! We had booked a twin room but little did we know that the apartments were fully self catering. We had our own little kitchen/livingroom/diner, with an open plan bedroom and a bathroom with THE biggest shower ever! It was obviously newly decorated and who ever had done it did a wonderful job! We were told by the receptioist that unfortunately the breakfast room wasn't ready, no problem we said as we had been told it was room only anyway. In her next breath she asked what time we would be up in the morning so that they could deliver it to our room for us! The breakfast was a cold continental breakfast but it was huge and fresh every day - even the Sunday. Checkout was simple as we had to leave very (very) early, we had to call their 24 hour reception and advise them our room number and that we were leaving- easy as anything! I will be staying here again very soon I hope, it is one of the best hotels I have stayed in near Helsingborg centre. Be careful in a taxi though. We were not sure where it was exactly and I think that the driver knew that - he took us the longest possible way round to the hotel he could find and it ended up costing us quite a lot of cash!
