"Lovely place"
Very nice hotel with competent staff. Nice pool area (interior and exterior), good breakfast and fair food. Would recommend it to those who like hiking and relax afterwards. Loved it.

"Perfect for walkers and summer skiers"
For a summer stay in the Alps, this hotel is perfectly situated in a village close to Zell am see. For walkers the mountains are on the doorstep, and for skiers there is skiing just down the road (available throughout the year except for two weeks in June). The half board package includes an imaginative four (sometimes five) course meal which can't be faulted, and the range of choices at breakfast is overwhelming; there is even a late breakfast available in the bar if you want a long lie-in. There are four distinct restaurant areas, so you can easily select a non-smoking section. There is an underground car-park, and the local bus stop is very close. The staff are friendly and efficient, and speak perfect english.

"Luxury in Austria"
Twenty of us went to Kaprun on our annual company trip. We stayed for two nights in the Steigenberger hotel - the staff couldn't have been more helpful - they organised everything from the hotel rooms, a meal out a local restaurant, a horse drawn sleigh ride and ski-ing lessons. The hotel rooms were spacious and very clean and the facilities were great - swimming pool, sauna (reports we'd read about the Austrians preferring to go into the sauna naked were true so be prepared!), jacuzzi, massage treatments etc. The food was very good - huge breakfast and four course dinners offering wide choice of traditional and european food. Great for ski-ing and snowboarding for beginners as most of us were. Well worth a trip up to the top of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier - three cable cars takes you up and there are restaurants and bars at all three levels. If you've had a few drinks the night before you may feel a bit lightheaded as the top is over 3000m high! Definitely recommended!
