Splended hotel
We stayed here for 10 days, our room a lovely it faced the lake and had a balcony. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was great. The hotel is situated in a quiet position with lake frontage 5 mins from town, we used the hotel boats to explore the lake - great fun many laughs!! we also used their bikes as so many places to explore. Thank you for a great time we shall be back again soon.

Didn't actually stay but dined there, lovely hotel, very Austrian on the lake front, 5 mins walk from the town, the food was excellent and the rooms when we looked were extremely good value. Facilities also great.

"Recommend you stay at the Margaretha"
I was concerned that many hotels in St Wolfgang had been reviewed but not the Margaretha - was there something wrong? I needn't have worried, it's a lovely hotel, clean, modern furnishings and decor - there's a Jazz theme but it's not obtrusive. Staff were really friendly and helpful, rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Food was generally good, perhaps one or two dishes at dinner during the week were below par. Continental buffet breakfast was really good each morning with a wide choice of food. Although there's a kettle in the room there are no supplies of tea or coffee, either take these or purchase them locally. The hotel is in a good location on the outskirts of the resort ,its on the lakeside close to the mountain railway and lake steamer boarding point but still quiet.

"Pleasant - typical Austrian style hotel"
Fantastic area - very beautiful. Attractive lakeside hotel. Advise you pay extra for balcony as we had a very poor room at the back of the hotel (Room 101!) with early morning kitchen and car park noise (quite a few of the rooms are in this location). Lots of doors banging at 5/6 a.m. Family run and staff generally very pleasant. Check weather before you go to Austria! Hotel a good 10/15 minute walk from centre. St Wolfgang very quiet in the evening with just a couple of bars but quite busy in the daytime with day tourists. Don't go to St Wolfgang if you want a lively holiday. Would return to this hotel
