was very disappointed in my visit. Our room, 519, had a horrible mold problem in the bathroom. The desk attendant seemed shocked to hear this and offered a feeble apology. There is no way this problem could have been undetected. There was also what appeared to be blood on the light switch. We cleaned it ourselves. I've seen better carpeting in rooms at the Red Roof Inn. The concierge quoted incorrect prices for both the subway and the museum tickets. He also incorrectly identified the ROM's senior citizen ticket rate starting at age 62 when it was actually 65. One desk attendant told us that the US-Canadian cash exchange was dollar for dollar. When we returned later to make the exchange, a different desk attendant told us it was dollar for dollar plus a 6% charge. We indictaed that was not what the other person told us and luckily she was there to correct her colleague. All these things made for a disappointing visit. I contacted the staff with these complaints after I returned home. They said they would get back to me. I still have not heard anything more than 6 weeks later.
