My husband and I stayed only 1 night here, but will be returning and recommending this hotel to friends. Lovely room and fabulous breakfast. Great location too.

"Loved the Sully"
My wife and I stayed at the Sully-St. Germain from 24 April to 3 May, 2007. This was our first stay in this hotel and we loved it so much that we will return to it again. I looked at two rooms (#19 & #62) before we settled in to room #62. Both rooms were great...very clean and larger than your standard Paris hotel room. Monsieur Moulay at the front desk is a first class gentleman and a fountain of information and help. In fact, all the staff members were really pleasant and accomodating as well as multi-lingual. The biggest plus to the Sully's list was the fact that it is right in the middle of many things in the Latin Quarter. Most of the usual "touristie" stuff is within easy walking distance and the metro is less than 5 minutes away. As an added bonus, there is a great restaurant..Le Berthoud...just around the corner on Rue Vallette.

"Location, location, location"
My mum and I arrived at the hotel with mixed reviews. Needless to say the rooms were slightly on the small size though we expected this, the decor was tired and requires updating. There was no tea making facilities. The location and friendliness of staff made up for the room it wasn't as bad as we thought, we were out sightseeing all day and night and it was a quiet place to sleep.

"Great location"
We stayed two nights here May 28-30, 2007 and enjoyed our stay. Our room was actually bigger than I expected. The room was clean and was more than adequate for two nights. If I were staying in Paris for a longer period of time, I might choose a hotel with more amenities, but the Hotel Sully St. Germain served our purposes well. I loved our location in the Latin Quater and the hotel staff was friendly and especially helpful in arranging our travel plans upon our departure. For Paris, with its small rooms and high prices, the Sully St. Germain is a good choice.

"Great Time"
I'm a young university student and I travelled to Paris with my mom in June of 2007. We stayed at the Sully for just under a week and loved it. The room was large enough, for a French hotel, the bathroom was large, clean and modern. The beds were comfortable and again, clean. Our room was on the fourth floor overlooking the street, and while it was quite loud with the window open, it must have been well soundproofed because as soon as we closed the window it was very quiet. The airconditioning worked very well and overall it was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly - by the third or fourth day they had our room number memorized, and recommended a great restaurant. The breakfast was quite good, but a bit expensive. I'd recommend going down near the metro stop to one of the cafes or boulangeries if you want to save a bit of money. Generally, we had a really nice time. The hotel is in a great location and really, we couldn't have asked for anything more!

"Excellent location"
We booked this hotel together with Eurostar tickets for a great price. The location is excellent for those who want to shop and walk around St Germain. No more than a 10 min walk to the river and Notre Dame, with lots of restaurants in the immediate vicinity; about a 15 minutes taxi from Gare du Nord. 2 minute walk to taxi rank at Blvd St Germain. Check-in was swift and no credit card was needed as everything was pre-paid. Unfortunately, we had a dodgy room: tiny and looked nothing like the photos on the website! Not exactly the cleanest either but we made do as we were only there for a weekend. We spent most of the time out of the hotel. We arrived nearly 4am after a night out on the town and thought we had been locked out but the night manager let us in after only 2 short rings on the doorbell! We didn't have breakfast at the hotel at all during our stay but there's no shortage of boulangeries and cafes in the area for coffee and pastries. Here's a tip: most of the shops in the immediate vicinity are shut on Sundays but walk less than 10 mins across the river to the 4th Arr (Metro St Paul) where due to a special dispensation, stores and restaurants are open on Sundays. There are some restaurants for brunch and quite a few Jewish bakeries and falafel places.
