* Sunshine Bar & Grill - Casual spot adjacent to pool. Lunch/dinner menu of sandwiches, burgers, salads, fish tacos, local draft beer, and tropical drinks. Thursday night poolside barbecue buffet with live music. Complimentary appetizers during Friday happy hours.

* The resort's front desk arranges scuba-diving and snorkeling excursions, as well as cruises and fishing trips, with independent operators. On the beach, a watersports center rents snorkeling and scuba-diving gear, Jet skis, kayaks, speed boats, Hobie-Wave sailboats, and pedal boats.

ROOM AMENITIES

* The hotel offers 132 guest suites in two three-story yellow-and-white buildings without elevators. Suites feature extra-thick mattresses, two-chair dining sets that double as work desks, and fully equipped kitchenettes with microwave ovens, two-burner rangetops, three-quarter-size refrigerators, toasters, and coffeemakers. Radio/CD players and 27-inch televisions with U.S. cable channels provide entertainment.

* Ceiling fans and louvered windows offer cooling alternatives to suites' air conditioning. Wireless (surcharge) and dial-up services provide Internet access. Decor includes cream-colored walls, white wood trim, light-colored furniture, and island art on walls.
