Centrally situated in the popular holiday town of Callandar in the Trossachs, the Swallow Dreadnought Hotel is an excellent base for touring the heart of Scotland, with well equipped and comfortable rooms throughout.

The hotel is only 45 minutes from Glasgow or Stirling and is in a great location for exploring Loch Lomond, Loch Tay and Perthshire - the surrounding countryside is spectacular.

Guests requiring a venue for a wedding will benefit from the premises being approved to hold civil ceremonies and guests with business needs can make use of the conference room. Parking is available for guests arriving by car.

Swallow Dreadnought Hotel is an Imposing 17th century stone building centrally located in the Highland holiday town of Callander in the Trossachs, 19 miles from Loch Lomond.

"The Wonderful "Dreadnought"
My partner, my 3 yr old daughter and I have just returned from a marvellous 4-day all inclusive break at the "Dreadnought". The value for money exceeded all our expectations, the food was excellent with numerous choices, and the room was clean, comfortable with an abundance of clean towels throughout our stay. The staff, many of whom are very young, were courteous, very helpful and polite and cheerful. The atmosphere in the bar during the evening entertainment was wonderful and we have made many friends. The "Scottish Night" was tremendous, with dancers, an extremely talented and cheerful piper and a very accomplished accordionist. We cannot rate the Dreadnought Hotel highly enough and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable and memorable short-break. We will be returning to Callander as soon as possible and have returned home with very great memories.
