"wunderbar!"
My wife and I stayed at the Swissotel for 3 days to celebrate my 60th birthday. Our standard room was comfortable and spotless. The staff were friendly and could not have been more attentive; they even left a birthday cake and card in my room. Highly recommended.

"Perfect Hotel"
Stayed here Mar. 29-31, 2007. Perfect location for a visit. It is situated on the main shopping street . It is also near the trams & subways. The X9 bus(express) from the airport comes two blocks away.
The rooms are very modern and extremely comfortable. It is wonderful having a coffee maker in your room. The service from check in to room cleaning was above even my expectations. I will be staying there in the future.

"Efficient and well run"
OK it will not win prizes for personality but the rooms are a good size in a great location with comfortable beds - what more do you need?
A few tips breakfast is very expensive but if your happy to pay 22 euro each its a good spread but I would advise you to try some of the nearby cafes "more Berlin"
I upgraded to one of the suites it was only a small addition to the price but well worth it and dont be put off by courtyard view rooms they are fine .

"Excellent hotel"
This is a comfortable, well-equipped hotel with superb staff and a nice, civilised atmosphere. Our room was the most modest the hotel offers, but was quiet and pleasantly appointed with a good bath/shower room and quality furnishings. The hotel bar was a good place to have a few drinks at the end of a long day, and Restaurant 44 (run by chef Tim Raue) was expensive yet worth the money, offering a superb menu of modern European cuisine. The sole drawback of the hotel is that it is in a fairly charmless corner of Charlottenburg - conveniently near Zoo Station, but also near some rather tawdry shops and bars including a tacky museum of erotica. The atmosphere locally certainly wasn't threatening, but this is a much less appealing part of Berlin than, say, Mitte, and those going as tourists should be aware that they will need to use the U-Bahn and S-Bahn to access the main tourist areas.
