The hotel is located on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka along the golden mile beach at Bentota. Uniquely located on a large headland overlooking the Indian Ocean. Also just 40 miles south of Colombo, Sri Lanka's capital. The resort lies at the confluence of the river after which the village is named. Palm fringed beaches stretch for several miles along the coast and it is here most hotels are located.

The hotel is one of the most luxurious five star beach resorts. It is the perfect sanctuary for a luxurious holiday on Asia's most exotic island, known for thousands of years as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean.
