"Big Blue exceeds expectations"
At last! A great hotel in Blackpool. We were a bit sceptical at first seeing it was next door to The Pleasure Beach however on arrival our feelings changed. Great friendly staff, very clean, excellent rooms designed for families - the kids loved it. We stayed 2 nights on a B&B basis. Breakfasts were lovely. We ate one evening meal in the hotel, it was a little pricey but we didnt mind paying the extra when you consider the alternative places to eat nearby. The food was well presented and very tasty.
We would certainly stay again no hesitation. Two nights B&B in a park view family room cost us £260.

"Enjoyed the experience"
This is a very modern hotel - and it shows. Anybody wanting a traditional engish seaside experience will be disappointed!
Despite its proximity to the amusement park it's owned by, this is a surprisingly quiet hotel. Rooms and common areas are immaculate, though you do get a niggling feeling that it was done on the cheap (Some corridors have a bit of a 'Barrat Homes' feel to them)
But everything was fitted out well, and the restaurant and bar areas are lovely. Our room included breakfast, which again, was excellent.
I believe you can get offers for this hotel that include tickets to the Pleasure Beach so this may be something worth considering.
One other good thing - car parking! Parking is a nightmare in Blackpool and many hotels don't have expansive facilities, but the Big Blue Hotel has a large and secure car park if you're travelling from afar and can't leave it at home!

This hotel is definetly one of the most friendly and modern hotels i have ever stayed in. The staff will do anything to help you and aid you with any troubles that you may have from the vending machines to checking out. Room was spotless and included great features. Air conditioning worked a treat!!!!
Overall a fantastic break and we will be sure to return to the Big Blue Hotel!!!! THANK YOU!

"We would never stay anywhere else again!"
We have been going to Blackpool every October for many years and have stayed in the Big Blue for the past 2 years. We LOVE it. We have 4 children and so far have managed to stay in one room comfortably. Top Tips - always try to get on the top floor as you can get the noise from kids running about if you are on a lower floor. No prob on the top floor and always get a view over the pleasure beach (obviously!) You cant book this in advance but request it on arrival and they will do their best to accomodate your request. It's truly magic when the kids run into the room and the Big One is going right past your window. Its not noisy either - triple glazing I think. Its really clean and a fab brekky too. Easy parking in the hotel car park, its the absolute best place to stay.
My only slight gripe last time was that when its busy for breakfast you have to queue in the bar area in the presence of smokers and this is very unplesant for non smokers and unhealthy for the kids too. You can get great deals which include your wristbands and stay at the park all day with no worry about waiting for trams.
If you love the pleasure beach as much as we do, you MUST stay here.
