"A great base from which to explore all that London has to offer!"
The welcome from the receptionists at the front desk was friendly and the room was great. The room was small, but in London, what can you expect?! The furnishings, as one can expect from the photographs, are modern. The room, most importantly, was clean and there were a number of channels on the television in different languages. Not that you really want to sit in your room when visiting London! The view from our room was of our balcony (which we obviously couldn't access) and of the charming buildings opposite. The menu and other information was also in Spanish as well as in English which was fantastic and the continental breakfast was more than enough to satisfy our needs. However, on the second morning, for a small extra charge, we did try the full buffet and English breakfast and it wasn't greasy at all. The tube station was about a ten minute walk away. I would recommend getting off at Lancaster Gate rather than Bayswater, as from central London you can then stay on the Central Line and not change and in general, it is quicker. You also have a nice walk past Hyde Park then, too! I did not give this hotel a score of 5/5 as it didn't boast leisure facilities etc, but of course we knew that when we booked it and that wasn't the reason why we wanted to go to London. However, overall, it was a great base from which to explore all that London has to offer.

"nice people"
have just spent two nights at this hotel for an Easter break.Room very clean and just refurbished although on the small side.Could do with extra storage for suitcase and clothes.Towels soft and spotlessly white.Wanted to watch pay for movie at end of first day and was told not working at the moment. When we asked at the end of the second day the reply was very noncommittal giving the impression that maybe this had been the case for a while.Location very good with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby as was the underground. All in all an enjoyable break.

"Great Hotel"
We booked a double room through the net for 94 pounds a night. The hotel is situated near hyde park in a very quiet hotel populated zone. There are three or four tube stations all around (5-10 minutes walk) and some local shops and pubs.
The personnel at the reception are very helpful and cheerful. The hotel has recently been refurbished and is in top notch condition. The whole hotel look is very modern and minimalistic. The rooms though small are nice and clean. The two biggest surprises in the room though was the European plug that was easy to use with our electronics and a 26inch LG LCD TV.
We would definitely stay there again.
