"Perfetc stay!"
I would like to recommend this Hotel to everyone is looking for a dream inside a dream:The Duke Hotel is the best you can find to live in a dream called Rome! Excellent room, great Hotel and above all this ( which could be enough to appreciate it ), wonderful Staff and Management : fun to have a Rossana candy and a red apple at the Reception Desk! We felt to be like the only Guests of the Hotel because Mr. Terranova and his great Staff took care of us in each moment of our stay, hard to succeed if you consider it was almost fully booked for Eastern Holidays. I've been there with a friend and her 1 month aged child David and everyone has been so kind to us in offering the best help whenever needed, quite prompt for everything with unexpected kindness we did really appreciated. Large and quite comfortable room, perfect bed where to sleep and dream and clean- like- a -mirror bathroom, too. Very good breakfast with high level service and nice to have a drink at the Polo Lounge with piano music player. The Hotel is located in the Parioli area, not downtown but quiet and smart , probably the best part of Rome.No problem to get downtown because you find a free Shuttle-Bus Service from the Duke to Piazza di Spagna and back all day long available. Mr. Terranova is so polite and to meet him is a delicious experience. Thanks to him ,we got the chance to stay there one day longer. Hope to go back to Rome as soon as possible, I can affirm that I found home far from home at The Duke: not going to look for any other place in Rome for my next trips.

"An excellent Hotel for a short visit to Rome"
The Hotel is excellent for a short stay. We are a family of 4 and stayed for 3 nights in April 2007. Our two rooms were very good. The staff are very friendly and this was evident when at check-in we were first allocated rooms on different floors. However, the Manager quickly gave us two rooms on the same floor even though we didn't ask. The Hotel is just outside central Rome, but this is compensated by the efficient free shuttle service. There is an overland train station Euclide just 5 minute gentle walk from the Hotel. The Metro station Flaminio ( Piazza Del Popolo ) is just one stop from Euclide and the cost is just € 1.00 each way. Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain are only 5-6 minutes walk from Poplolo. A 20 minute walk to the Vatican, but you get the benefit of seeing Roman life. Overall the Hotel is ideally situated away from the hustle of busy central Rome.

"Super Second Honeymoon at the Duke!"
The Duke is a small, privately owned boutique hotel near the stadium, in the Parioli section of Rome. We cannot say enough about this wonderful, quiet, beautiful hotel and its' staff. The airlines lost our bags for 2 days, and the Duke was kind enough to upgrade our room to a larger one with a balcony, as a special gift! Personalized service and a helpful staff also abound here.We had 2 days of early touring, and the kindly concierge took pity and made us cappuchino himself , at 6:15 a.m.THe front desk arranged the free shuttle to the Spanish Steps with no problems for us several times, and also arranged a tour of the Sistine Chapel. The restaurant was first class, a real gourmet treat for a special dinner. The morning breakfast had everything from local pastries, parma ham, fruit and rolls, as well as American eggs, bacon , and sausage. Cabs to and from the sights in Rome ran 10-14 euros (13-18 dollars) for two people. We walked alot from the Spanish Steps, and took cabs or the shuttle back at night.Overall, a super experience and our first in Rome.We will be back!
