"The Vancouver Waterfront Fairmont is an extremely nice place to stay. "
Fairmont Waterfront Hotel is located on the waterfront. It’s within throwing distance of the ‘gastown’ area, which contains some great restaurants, interesting shops, regular shopping, and the famous ‘steam clock’. The view from the water-facing side of the hotel is very nice, especially if you enjoy watching sea planes take off and land. This Fairmont is connected to a below-street-level mini mall, which adds another level of convenience. It’s about a 20 minute walk along the waterfront, to the famous Stanley Park. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were just so-so. The linens were exceptionally clean, however.

"Club Level - Worth Every Penny"
We spent two nights at the Fairmont Waterfront recently and were pleased that we were able to stay on the club level. Our room was pleasant and we had a good view of the harbor. The only negative about this hotel was that it seemed to struggle to handle the large number of cruise/tour/convention guests that would descend upon the lobby at the same time. This made for long lines at check in/out, breakfast, concierge, valet, etc. Once we learned that there was a separate check in, concierge and breakfast on the club level, we were very pleased. The club level lounge, with a roof-top seating area, was always well stocked with delicious snacks and staffed with very helpful personnel. If you are planning to stay at this property and looking to avoid the crowds, consider the club level.

Excellent hotel. Spend a little and stay on the concierge floor. It turns out to be very good value due to all the extras. Also, join the presidents club on the Fairmont website if you haven't already. It's free to join and you get tips on how to get those "extras" that seem to make a great hotel. Try for a room with a view. My wife and I had a great view of the harbour. I won't stay anywhere else in Vancouver. The location is great. You can walk just about anywhere from the hotel. Take the hotel dog for a walk for fun.

"A fantastic break"
What a great stay at a fantastic hotel. Beautiful lobby, great food, nice rooms and outstanding service with a smile – every time! Also, we were able to easily get around the city via the Skytrain, easily accessible thought the hotel. We elected to stay on the Gold Level (floors 8 and 9) with a harbor view and would do it again in a heart beat. Beautiful views, but would advise the Fairmont to wash those big windows often as they seemed slightly dirty on the outside. Spent two nights here and fully enjoyed all the hotel had to offer as well as some fine dining at Metro, Herons and Lumiere. Stayed at the Sutton a few years back and this hotel easily blows the Sutton out of the water based solely on service. We look forward to our next visit with great anticipation!

I have stayed at this hotel once, and whenever I am in Vancouver on a ship, I always pop in here for breakfast! It's a little expensive, of course, but you really do get what you pay for. Always a pleasure.

"Good family choice!"
I recently spent a night at the Fairmont Waterfront to celebrate my family's move to Vancouver. I was a bit concerned about taking my two children (ages 3 and 6) to such an upscale property, but was soon put to ease by the pleasant front desk staff. They welcomed our girls with activity books, and also provided "milk and cookie" tickets which we used at bed-time. Another nice touch; we were upgraded to a room on the 23rd floor overlooking the harbour which provided breathtaking views. I don't know the reason for the upgrade, but it was offered and we accepted! We treated ourselves to a dinner in the fabulous Heron's restaurant, which set the tone for our stay. For those of you visiting Vancouver and looking for an intimate fine-dining spot: this is it! We were absolutely pampered by our host, Ryan, who not only was able to answer our questions about our dinner preparation, but also gave expert wine-pairing suggestions that made our meal memorable. After dinner we took the girls to the heated pool for some fun. The hotel keeps a well-stocked pool-toy box just outside the gym; perfect for families! After a quick soak in the hot tub and a few minutes in the eucalyptus steam room we were all ready for bed. We chose to have a casual breakfast in the Waterfront Centre, conveniently located underneath the hotel, and then got ready to check out. That was when our girls found Holly, the hotel's gorgeous Golden Lab companion dog. The friendly door-person invited us to take Holly for a walk, and we took some great photos at the Convention Centre. I can whole-heartedly recommend the Fairmont Waterfront to anyone traveling with small children. The entire staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. We'll return!

"Moments turned into wonderful memories"
We have always experienced excellent service at Fairmont Hotels and the Vancouver Waterfront lived up to our expectations. The comforable surroundings are enhanced by a genuine commitment by staff to make your stay a memorable one. The location of this hotel is very cental and has a great view. If it is within your budget I recommend staying in one the Gold rooms where you will enjoy the offerings of the private dining room. Special thanks to the lovely bartender Marta who provided us with excellent information on dining and other attractions.

Excellent Accommodations and Place to Stay
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a tour package. The room was very comfortable. The king bed and bedding was outstanding. Service from the front desk, bellman and restaurant were exceptional. Everyone was always offering to assist. The hotel has direct access to underground transportation, shops and food services. The next time I visit Vancouver I will definitely stay at this hotel.

"Wonderful place to start your honeymoon..."
We stayed at the Fairmount in the week up to Christmas 2003 and the staff were wonderful and friendly and couldnt be more helpful. We had a fantastic harbour view room, with awesome views of the mountains. I am surprised to see negative feedback of the hotel, as we then stayed at the famous Fairmount in Montreal and it wasnt half as good for service, food and ambience.

"Lovet it, didn't want to leave..."
We stayed at the fairmont Gold level with our beautiful dog and loved it. They walked our dog, gave us a free car to our restaurant of choice, had a special lounge with food all day... It is excellent. Be sure not to miss it and of course walking to town and Robson street is a quick 10 min walk that feels great!
