Over the Summer, my family and I decided to head out into the country for a long weekend to get away from the city for a while. I heard of this Hotel through a few colleagues of mine who attended a conference here and they reccomended the Holt for its cosy atmosphere and peaceful surroundings. Even though we only spent 3 nights we all thouroughly enjoyed ourselves: every morning we had a very filling english breakfast and a really excellent meal at night - when we returned from our daytime excursions. There are quite a few lovely place to visit nearby the Holt. We spent a day at the shopping outlet, Bicester, a day at Blenheim Palace and another day at around Oxford City. These places were quite close to the hotel and we found that they were easily accessible. We had a perfect stay for three reasons: 1/ The hotel itself was in a very beautiful spot surrounded by the nice country-side scenery 2/ The staff very courteous and made you feel comfortable and 3/It wasnt too expensive. Overall a great place to stay with no complaints. P.S. If you go do NOT forget to have at least one meal at Du Vall's Resturant in the Hotel.
