"My Absolute Fave In BKK !"
This is where I always stay in Bangkok, along with the Four Seasons. But mostly here. They can do no wrong here. Everyone at the front desk knows your name and greets you repeatedly. The food is out of this world for breakfast lunch and dinner. The Spa is fantastic. And the rooms couldnt be better ... separate shower and bath tub in the bathroom and large rooms with comfy beds and great sheets/ pillows. Its 5 star all the way, without feeling like you are in a major hotel with loads of other guests around all the time. I have also stayed at the Peninsula Bangkok and the Four Seasons, but the Met keeps me coming back. I will say though, at certain times of the year the sun shines on the pool for a limited number of hours due to the tall buildings around the pool. I know that in Dec/ Jan time period the sun is gone from the pool around 1pm. So if you like the sun, then I recommend the Four Seasons because their pool has full sun. Thats why I stay at both of these fantastic properties. Then again...you are in Bangkok. Expolre the city instead of the pool!

Excellent hotel. If you get the room rate with breakfast, make sure you use it. The breakfasts are fantastic. Rooms are pretty large by Asian standards. Nice pool. Nice gym. Take the phone number with you in the taxi from the airport. Many cabbies do not know where it is. Tell them it is near the Banyan Tree and the Sukhothai hotels. Can't say enough about this one. Stayed two weeks on business. Nice selection of restaurants within walking distance as well as the night bazaar for shopping.

Stayed at the Met for 5 nights over xmas/new year period and had an amazing stay, great hotel to go back to after the hustle of Bangkok. Our room was a great size with massive bathroom. The hotel decor itself is excellent as are the staff who we found very friendly and on the ball withouit being over the top. The breakfast was superb with a good selection! Met bar is nice and chilled. The location isnt the best but it is only a 10/15 minute walk to skytrain and cabs are easy to get on the main road. Apart from the location i really cant fault our stay here.
