"in excellent condition"
The New York Palace Hotel is in a fantastic location, is in excellent condition, and the service in unparallelled with any other hotel I have stayed in. The staff could not do enough for you, going out of their way to ensure your trip was memorable.
We are already planning our next trip to the New York Palace Hotel.

"Executive Level A Must!!!"
My best friend and I spent 5 days and 4 nights at the New York Palace on the Executive Level. It was well worth the extra money for this level due to access to the Executive lounge. This lounge offered breakfast, lunch, cocktails, internet access, and numerous other ammenities during our stay. The staff in the lounge were especially thoughtful and catered to your every need. There was one in particular, named Juan, who was so cordial and greeted us everytime we went there (which was at least three times a day). We never ate in the restaurants in the hotel, because they were quite expensive, and why would we, when we had the lounge. I did order a cheeseburger at 11 PM from room service that came out to $75 (yeah, that's correct, for one cheeseburger and a bottle of Fiji water), that was quite good, but I could not complain about the price, we were getting free food in the lounge. The room had two double beds, very clean (excellent housekeeping staff) and comfortable beds. The view was less desirable (a brick wall), but the bell hop called the front desk to change the view, but they did not have anything for the amount of nights we were staying. We did not really care about the view, because everything else was fabulous. Manhattan was great, and we would definately stay at the Palace again, just maybe ask for a better view next time.

"Only the Palace for me - Unmatched Service ! ! !"
We called the New York Palace home for two (2) days in July - This was after disembarking the Queen Mary 2, the opitimy of luxury.
although our cruise was unbelievable, it was the Palace New York Hotel which took the cake !
As RITZ CARLTON return customers, we are accustomed to a higher level of service-I must report that the PALACE exceeded our expectations. One word of advice, please do yourself the favor and book the newly renovated EXECUTIVE FLOOR on the 39th floor. We were so fortunate to have been assigned a hotel room next to this "gem." We avoided all in-house dining, other than the Executive Club floor, which was included in our stay.
Location is the BEST, the best shopping, restaurants , and nearby Rockefeller Center, all within walking distance.

"Royal Palace in the center of the universe"
Imagine an elegant mansion just in the center of the universe, just a minute walk from the Rockfeller Center and at a stone throw from Central Park and Fifth Avenue most elegant boutiques. Walk in the Palace from the Madison Avenue entrance passing the wonderful yard, and just as you'll open the door (probably you wont have to cause you'll find someone who will do that for you) you will understand why this is a Grand Hotel.
The wonderful lobby (too much rich to my taste) will welcome you.
Ask to Concierge for your needs they are absolutely great!! This Brunei's Sultan owned hotel has spacious room with full turndown service and marble bathrooms. Don't miss the gym (complimentary shorts, t-shirt and sneakers if you forget yours!) which has a wonderful view over St Patrick Cathedral and ALL THE AMENITIES YOU CAN IMAGINE IN THE LOCKERROOM!!(bathrobes, shaving cream and razors, after shaving balm, etc, etc).
Try to get a deal on the internet! I payed less than 400 $ a night for a room for 4 people!!
Great things of the hotel are the LOCATION, BIG ROOMS and the CHARME of the ancient building..
Beware of eating in the hotel!! Prices for in room service are ridicolously high and GILT restaurant hasn't a big value for the food but you should definitely go and drink something to admire the magnificent decorations!
