This highly traditional hotel lies at the heart of the spa town of Buxton, surrounded by picturesque parklands. The immediate vicinity offers numerous shopping facilities, entertainment venues, bars and restaurants as well as Buxton's opera house. Public transport links (situated 100 m away) offer great opportunities for those wishing to explore the surrounding area. Situated close to the hotel, the town's train station offers good links to other towns and cities.

This hotel was built in 1868 and affords a sophisticated, Victorian architectural style. There are 122 rooms in total, of which 4 are suites, and are spread over 3 floors. The hotel receives guests in the spacious lobby, which includes lifts, a hotel safe, a 24-hour reception and a currency exchange service. Dining options include a restaurant, which serves up a variety of international dishes. In addition, it is also possible to relax in the hotel bar or in the cafe after an eventful day. Numerous services are on offer including medical assistance, laundry and room services as well as Internet access. Business guests are able to make use of the conference facilities. For an additional fee, guests may use the car park (200 spaces).Coming on the M1 North, exit at Jct. 29 and follow the A617 to Chesterfield. Then follow the A619 onto the A6 to Buxton. The hotel is in the town centre next to the train station. From the M1 South, exit at Jct. 23a onto the A50 and then take the A38 towards Derby. In Derby follow the signs for A52 Ashbourne and then the A515 to Buxton. The hotel is in the town centre next to the train station. From the Southwest Take M5 north to the M6 and exit at Jct. 15. Take the A500 towards Newcastle-under-Lyme and then the A53 to Buxton. The hotel is in the town centre next to the train station.
