"Excellent hotel!"
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in May 2007. I booked a reward stay using Hilton points (Diamond member). Everything was excellent with this hotel!
We were allowed an early check-in at before noon, so we went up to the executive lounge. Very nice - complimentary food and drinks (including alcohol) all day long. The lounge also had a computer with free internet access, which was a huge plus! (Who wants to lug a laptop with them on vacation?)
The room was nice, they left me not one but two welcome gifts of gourmet chocolates in my room, thanking me for staying! The location is very convenient to Covent Garden and all the major theaters!
I would stay here again, it made our last days in Europe perfect!

"good"
I booked 2 free nights here using Hilton Honors points in June 2007. Hotel is really well located for tourism. I was given a warm welcome and a complimentary upgrade to executive suite at check in. Nice well furnished large room; spacious but ancient looking bathroom. Very helpful staff, especially the concierge staff. I would book here again

"Upscale and cozy!"
After reading many reviews here I thought that I should definitely give my opinion of the Waldorf! I traveled with my husband and two teens last month. We stayed for 3 nights and I booked two rooms. I transferred American Airlines points to my husband's silver Hilton Honors account. Considering that the rooms were going to be $600 each per night, I thought that trading the points was a good value. London is outrageously expensive with our terrible exchange rate! The hotel is located right next to the Aldwych theater where we saw Dirty Dancing ( Fantastic show)! It is a small boutique feeling hotel which seems to be newly refurnished. The decor is modern and fun! The rooms are quite large and the beds comfortable, although a bit soft. The negatives were that the rooms on the street side were noisy. The first night we stayed on the interior side but wanted to switch to a King bed the next night. The first night was super quiet and the next two nights were not. The mornings were noisy with noise from the street starting quite early. There was some confusion with breakfast for us. When I asked the night manager for a complimentary continental breakfast with our Hilton Honors, he offered it to us. We had it one morning. There was a cold buffet that was average with fruit, pastries, cereal, etc. and then you could order something hot from the menu. It wasn't bad but outrageous at L22 ($40 each). They brought us a bill to sign and we were told that it was not complimentary. After inquiring at the front desk we were told that the night manager was new and he made a mistake. They removed the charges, thank goodness! We are not big breakfast eaters so we made do with a little cafe down the street. This hotel is not very close to a tube station. It is in between 2 stations, both are about a 10 minute walk. Not such a big deal unless it is raining. We did like the location because it was not in such a busy area like the nearby covent gardens. Concierges and doormen were helpful and friendly! Hope this helps!

"Totally relaxing experience in central London"
Stayed in Waldorf for 3 nights. Staff were welcoming and attentive from the moment we arrived, collecting our luggage at the door and showing us to our room as soon as we arrived at 12 although check in time isn't officially until 3. A complimentary bottle of wine was sent up to our room within minutes of arriving. All staff were polite and friendly throughout our stay, making it it a totally pleasant and relaxing experience. This hotel was built in 1908 and has been sympathetically modernised throughout. Public lounges are comfortable with high ceilings, relaxing leather chairs and an excellent supply of complimentary newspapers. The smallest of luxury touches, down to even the bathroom tissues embossed with the Waldorf Hilton name show how this hotel takes a real pride in being a unique London landmark that other new and completely modern hotels just can't match.

"great value, fabulous location, loved it!!!"
hello, just returned from a weekend break at this hotel and was so impressed. we booked the £299 deal, double room for 2 nights with breakfast and a meal on the first evening. first of all, the location is great, 3 mins walk from covent garden, next door from the aldwych theatre, a short walk from everywhere you need to go. we arrived just after 3pm and were offered a choice of rooms. the rooms weren't the biggest but perfectly adequate for a weekend stay. built in wardrobe with iron, board, free safe, hot drinks tray, mini bar, complimentary umbrella for use during your stay. nice large bathroom with raindrop shower and very large towels. the comfiest bed i have ever slept in with bathrobes and slippers, large flat screen tv, hair dryer, alarm clock, internet access. basically everything that a hotel should have had been provided which was a welcome change. we took our free dinnner on the first night (restaurant opens at 5.30pm so plenty early enough if you are going to the theatre). we were given a choice from a small manu or allowed to choose from the large menu with a £25 allowance per person. i mixed between the two and was very pleased with my choices. service was amazing, very attentive staff without being over the top. breakfast the next day was equally good, plenty of choice of continental items and a lovely hot menu too. i would definitely recommend this hotel (especially with this offer) to anyone wanting a romantic weekend away, staying at the waldorf is sure to impress anyone!!!
