Theoxenia, a member of small hotels of the world, has gained its reputation for the warmest welcome and excellent service as well as the quality of accommodation it offers all these years. Theoxenia, the third oldest hotel on the island, is located in Fira Town, the capital.

Rebuilt (major renovation) in 2001 and founded in 1973 in the center of the market, next to the Cathedral, Theoxenia Hotel has already established a reputation for its warm welcome and excellent service. With its privileged cliffside setting and 9 rooms, it offers all the luxury of a city hotel, but with a personalized and modern touch.

The Hot Tub on the top floor is a getaway from reality. All guests are able to use it from 11 am to 11 pm. Warm in the summer, hot during the winter, a refreshing bubble bath with view to Volcano whilst an amazing sunset, might just be exactly what you are looking for before an exciting night or a romantic dinner.

"Location Location Location!"
Theoxenia has a fantastic location! The rooms are nice and spacious and the bed was so comfy!! we had a shared terrace with a spectacular view that looked over the caldera, but also you could watch the people stroll along the little streets below. the hotel is at the top of the cliff in the center of fira...easy walk to everything! we ate at Sphinx restaurant about 100 meters away and had a beautiful table and watched the sunsert. Dinner was good - location was key though, the food is slightly overpriced for the somewhat small portions, but the location of both Sphinx restaurant and the Theoxenia hotel can't be beat!

"Amazing View"
The Theoxenia was great. It is located on a main street in Fira with shopping and restaurants nearby. The trip to Ia to see the "famous" Santorini sunset is about 20 minutes away. The hotel room is gorgeous. We had a junior suite overlooking the caldera. Only 2 rooms of their 9 rooms have a caldera view, so be sure to book those. The staff brings you breakfast in bed each day. The bed is a full size bed, which in Greece is a rarity. Most beds in Greece are 2 beds pushed together. All around it is a clean hotel, great view, great for young couples or honeymooners. The only downside is a lack of a pool, but the hotel lets you use their sister hotel which is only a 2 minute walk away for the pool.

Wanted downtoen in Santorini? I got it
Funny something are different from where we usually leave...Went there on vacation and managed to make my companion angry...She complaint about the steps and that two pairs of her stylish high hill got ruined. Then I moved over to this downtown mini hotel that was holding a few surprises. Nice room, spacious, modern and free internet dhowed up on my wifi. Cool. They were polite, friendly, courteous and i saved about 300 euros-cliffside hotel go up to us$400. Got breakfast in room every morning and staff helped us with our volcano trip. They gave excellent suggestions for little restaurants (tavernas they call them) and numerous locations. Thanx andrew (chabby bold guy) and mrs moscha for her unbeatable breakfast delights. We will visit on our honeymoon. Got to love it..

"Small jewel"
Spent 3 wonderful nights at this small boutique hotel in the center of Fira town. Great view of the volcano, an incredible breakfast delivered to the room each morning, very helpful and pleasant staff. The rooms were decorated in a sleek modern style that I would not expect in a small property, and it was beautifully presented. Short walk to main shops and restaurants. I would consider this a "find" for the value and accomodations.

"Couldn't have asked for more!"
We have just returned from our trip to Santorini earlier this month and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The hotel is central to everything and is tucked away in the middle of shops and restaurants. The staff was remarkably attentive and very courteous. Each evening before heading off to bed, we told the staff what time we wished to have breakfast served...like a "wake up call" you would get in the states. With a knock at the door and a "breakfast is served", we awoke every morning to sit on our balcony for breakfast. Robes and slippers were provided and useful as there was always a chill in the morning. Breakfast was delicious and more than enough. The staff was always available if we needed more coffee. The room we had was on the corner of the hotel so we had a window to the caldera and to the city street on one side. It was a bit noisy from the city side but nothing we couldn't sleep through after a day filled site seeing and a night of celebrating. The bed was very comfortable and the room was much bigger than we expected. There was a tv, stocked refrigerator, couch and table, and a dressing table off to the side. The bathroom was big enough and very clean. The staff came in every morning when we left to make our bed, change our linens and bed sheets and empty the trash cans. We would definitely stay here again as the view was unbelievable (especially the higher common balcony at night), the service was excellent and price was just right.
