My wife and I stayed 5 nights recently. Our room was spacious and comfortable: its one fault was quickly remedied. Location is excellent though views from windows are nothing to write home about. Most of the restaurant food was excellent but one serious gripe: the chef hasn't heard of healthy eating! Vegetables were very poor and the same every night. Scotland's poor reputation health-wise could do with some improvement here!

cold rooms
stayed there last hogmonay we did get a beautiful room in the end but the first room heating didnt work i think for 150 pounds for one night the heating should work, the second room was freezing heating didnt work!!! the girl said "well it is minus 2 outside" thought that comment wasnt very appropriate from staff the room we eventually got was hot and beautiful. will stay again but will ask for a refurbished room next time to save any hassle.

Glasgow Thistle Hotel
Full marks to Glasgow Thistle Hotel and in particular to Graeme Hamilton who was on duty when we arrived. He is a great ambassador for the hotel, in that he dealt efficiently, quickly and extremely courteously with a minor, though irksome, noise in our room - emanating, we thought, from a faulty cistern above (or something of that ilk!). We and our friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the rooms absolutely spotless and perfect for our requirements. Will definitely return and will recommend it highly to friends and colleagues. Our grateful thanks to all the staff, but particularly to Graeme - a patient and excellent member of staff. We'll be back to sample the champagne, Graeme!

"Perefct Hotel & Location"
Stayed here over the weekend of T in the Park. Hotel has easy parking nice big reception and easy walking distance to city centre (2 mins). Loved going 100meters up the road to the walkabout for good food and cheap drinks & cocktails & thai restuarant as well. I have just book to stay here again next week. Bathroom was brand new and bed was HUGE and comfortable. Very comfy hotel. Great rooms rates as well.

Staff fantastic at the Thistle Hotel Glasgow. From Check In to Check Out service was extremely good. Bedrooms were spotless, food was excellent and the leisure facilities ideal for a perfect leisure stay. Would recommend this hotel to anybody.

"Nice hotel"
The hotel is in a very convenient location - right in the centre! My room + bathroom were spotless - could have done with more towels in the bathroom - saying that, I never asked for anymore but I'm sure if I had it would not have been a problem. All the staff at the hotel were very helpful + pleasant - they are a credit to the hotel. The breakfast was nice - cereals, pastries, hot buffet, fruit + yoghurt were available. The only worriyng thing was that one of the chefs did not know how to make an omelette!!! Nevertheless when the other chef made it, it was very tasty! The room service menu is good + the prices are not extortionate - I recommend the chicken caesar salad! I would stay here again + would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Fab Hotel."
We have just returned from a night at Thistle Glasgow. Being from Glasgow, we werent there to see the sights as I see them a lot! We were just there for a night out and a relaxing atmosphere. The Hotel exterior is well lit and nice but nothing of architectural greatness. The Lobby is clean and very modern as is the restaurant. We had a non smoking room on the 5th floor and it was very spacious and clean with A luxurious bed, TV, table, 2 Armchairs, mini bar and a gorgeous bathroom and all the other amenities we required. The air-con was great as was the rest of the room, our only complaint was that our room overlooked onto a very noisy street. We had intended to have breakfast in our room but we didnt get the order out by 2am so we had the buffet breakfast in the restaurant. We got there at 10:15 (breakfast is served until 10:30) and there was still plenty of food left and it was still being replenished. Overall, we had a lovely stay at Thistle and I would definitely return.
