"Great location!"
We stayed here the first part of December. This hotel is right behind the Louvre. It is a great value for the money but keep in mind that the rooms are TINY. Breakfast is traditional continental. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful with directions. If you are sensitive to noise, you might not like the subway rumbling by into the night and starting up again around 4:00 a.m. Also, if you are claustrophobic, the shower will be a nightmare unless you are also considerably overweight, then it won't be a problem because you won't be able to get in. Any negatives to this hotel are so far outweighed by it's location that I would definitely stay there again.

"Perfect location"
I knew nothing about this chain hotel. I just knew it was the cheapest Expedia choice near the Louvre. Though two of us traveled together to see an exhibit at the Museum of Textiles right near the Louvre, we had read that the rooms were very small so for a few dollars more we got separate rooms. It was a wise choice since, yes, the rooms are small. But they were clean and adequate and the location was just perfect. One block from the Louvre and the river. Two blocks from a metro station. Plenty of sidewalk cafes and bistros just a few feet away from the hotel. The staff was wonderful. Bruno, on duty every afternoon we were there, speaks perfect English. Plus, it was he that suggested Willi's Wine Bar where I had the best duck that has ever been cooked. I would stay again at this little hotel, no doubt about it. Don't expect a high-end, five-star hotel with $$$$ restaurants. This little hotel is just for someone who wants a clean, easy place to sleep near food (pastry, too) and the Louvre and the Metro and the river.

"TimHotel Le Louvre - Top Value for the Bucks!!"
My wife and I stayed for 13 nights from May 21, 2006 at the TimHotel Le Louvre. We were very pleased!!
The location is truly great. I'd told my wife the hotel was only a block from the Louvre but her jaw dropped once we'd arrived at the hotel and there was the Louvre truly looming large just a block away.
The room with two twin-type beds was probably a good choice rather than one slightly larger bed for the two of us. The bathroom did make me long for the relative luxury of a cruise ship bathroom. But despite being a larger man I did manage to slip in and out of the shower without mishap. The room itself was not very large with a small walking space at the foot and side of one bed with a little 6 x 5 patch of space between the door, bathroom door, closet and the second of the two beds. The closet was a single cupboard that had the usualy 8 lumpy plastic hangers (I brought everything on hangers and slipped the hotel's hangers off the rod and was able to pack a ton of stuff in the closet). We stowed the empty bags on top of the closet and left one case with stuff open on a luggage rack in a corner, which meant the missus couldn't actually get in and out of her bed on the side but kinda had to shimmy out at the foot of the bed.
The room was very freshly painted, papered and carpeted. The draperies and prints were nice. We had a window that opened onto a little central courtyard of the hotel (the breakfast area had a little outdoor table). This made for a very very quiet room with no street noise at all. We were on the first floor (second floor for us Americans) and that made it easy to get to the room. The elevator is circus clown car small with a two person and one bag limit. The electronic accordian metal doors on the inside of the car didn't give my wife the warm fuzzies. But a little patience and a few trips would have seen you and your baggage safely to the 5th floor.
We arrived at 9 am and were told we could check in at 2pm. We left our bags in the big closet in the lobby. No real security on it other than it was 5 feet from the desk clerk in the lobby. The desk folks were nice enough but it took me 10 days to get a bonjour out of the female desk clerk (I found it a little rude but I think a French person would have been incensed ... I mean a polite greeting is just how things start in the world of French commerce). But don't be dissuaded by this (I really don't think it was personal ... I barely speak rudimentary transactional French but I can recongnize complaining when I hear it and this broad was always [-----] about something in French to the nearest cleaning person or desk clerk). I did ask for a car to be arranged to take us to the airport and that was handled by the night man with no problem. Meanwhile, the place was spotless with lots of cleaning and scrubbing. We did check in right at 2. Didn't really understand the delay 'til 2 but the hallways are cramped or non-existent so perhaps having new guests tromping through the halls with luggage is just a no-no. We went to the Louvre (only a block away!!) and saw the Mona Lisa and had a bite to eat so we started the trip with a real bang!
We paid less than $125 a night including taxes and everything. At check-out they charged me about a buck each for my two local calls. The room had a hot water maker that was very useful. I'd packed some instant oatmeal and a couple of plastic bowls. Plus, I brought my non-breakable French coffee press (What could be more appropriate to bring to Paris?!?!?!?!?). They had some mugs in the room and being able to have coffee and oatmeal in the a.m. was a great time and money saver. There were lots of outlets in the room (all over by the bathroom) so we could power and recharge everything.
In short, for a small, spotless, very reasonably priced hotel experience right in the heart of Paris (the Palais Royal and the Comedie Francaise are just blocks away as is Les Halles and two subway stops) you cannot beat this hotel.

"Great Location"
We stayed here for 6 nights in May 2006 and found it to be great value for money.
The location was fantastic as if you like to walk you can get to all the attractions easily.
Yes, the bathrooms are quite tiny and perhaps you may find it hard if you are on the larger side as the showers are very small.
It was my first experience in Europe and the hotel and staff made it a pleasureable one.

"great location, great price"
OK... the skinny on the hotel is just this, It is not a 5 star hotel... but it has a 5 star location. Beds are very firm, the shower is so small that I couldn't bend over to shave my legs I'm 5'9 ( I measured 20 x 20) Don't use their shower gel / shampoo... it will take the skin off your face...
But for the good stuff.... LOCATION is great for the Louvre, can't beat a better location...the PRICE is as good as the location.
Just think you can spend money on other important things than a hotel room you will only sleep in...
