In the tradition of accommodating the needs of even the most demanding of guests, Titania is renovated in order to keep up with the ever increasing pace and demands of modern life. "Titania Hotel Works for Us"
We stayed at the Titania Hotel in Athens for 3 nights on August 25-27 before our cruise. As mentioned in other reviews, the lobby is grand and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite modest by North American standards, but they are very clean, and include an in room safe that is large enough to store all of your important papers. The air conditioning worked well and that says a lot because the temp was 39C the day we arrived. The roof top bar offers a great view of the Acropolis at night. We found the prices at the restaurant a little high for our liking so we limited ourselves to drinks and dined elsewhere. We really enjoyed the company of Lucas who is one of the bar tenders at the roof top bar. One of the people in our group of 4 was on crutches so we mentioned to Lucas that we were looking to hire a private taxi for a full day to take us to some of the key sites, as opposed to walking or taking the subway. Lucas fixed us up with an excellent driver named Georgios. Georgios gave us a great tour of the sites in Athens and even took us all the way to Cape Sounion. The doormen at the front of the hotel were extremely helpful in terms of negotiating with the taxi drivers for short trips and we appreciated that very much (taxi drivers in Athens have a bit of a reputation for being somewhat unscrupulous). The breakfast at the Titania offered a lot of variety, something for everyone, so we usually ate a large breakfast and didn't bother with lunch. The hotel is well located in terms of subway access and we found it to be quiet and suitable for sleeping at night. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again the next time we are in Athens.

"Good Location in Central Athens"
Stayed at the Titania on the first leg of a trip to the Greek islands. Two nights was about enough time for Athens. As mentioned by others, nice lobby, good location to major sites (and the subway), excellent buffet breakfast, rooms somewhat on the small side but comfortable (perhaps not for a week). Strongly suggest a meal at the roof top restaurant with a great view of the Acropolis at night. Food excellent. Sites to see include the Acropolis (best in early morning to avoid crowds); the plaka for shopping, restaurants, and gyros and greek salad; National Archeological Museum, a short walk or subway ride. The Hotel staff were always pleasant and accommodating. Athens, and most of Greece for that matter, was always safe to walk. A city that is always on the go, 8 milliion people, 2-3 days was plenty, and we will always have fond memories.

"Great Expectations"
Prior to arriving to the Titania Hotel I had read all of the reviews that had been posted. I had already booked my reservation. We were a little nervous as to what we had gotten ourselves into after reading the reviews. We decided "Oh well if we don't like it we can just move to another location." It's easy to give a bad review but not many people take the time out to give a good one. I will agree that by American standards the rooms are a little smaller than we are accustom to. However, this is typical in Europe. The lobby is beautiful and so is the roof top view from the Olive Garden. We stayed at the Titania for almost 3 weeks. The number one reason hands down was the staff. It is a unique experience to find that level of service and I think all of these reviews fail to show the recognition this staff truly deserves. At all times under all circumstances they were consistantly available to assist. I have stayed at far more luxurious hotels in the United States that could never have measured up to that level of service. I thought they had an amazing ability to easily embrace the large amount of cultural diversity that inhabited the hotel. They may have only had a few television channels that were in English but they also had a couple in Spanish, German, Greek, French, and I am sure others I was not able to identify. They were there every step of the way to help me through whatever culture shock issues I encountered with patience and guidance. And even when I embarassed myself and they wanted to laugh out loud they would say "Oh, that's ok". Going into unfamiliar territory to a country in which you don't speak the language can be a little intimidating. Titania hotel provided a comfortable, inviting home base. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to Greece their first time, traveling alone and does not speak the language. Thanks Titania! You're the Greatest!

We loved the Titania Hotel. The location was perfect, the staff friendly and accommodating and the breakfast buffet was very nice. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Athens.

"Titania the Titan"
Stayed there twice this past September. Pleasantly surprised by the renovations (had stayed there years ago). The lobby is impressive, the reception very helpful and efficient, the rooms (inside) very quiet and well appointed. The breakfast fulfills everyone's appetite. The best part: the doorman can call a radio taxi with his cellphone and in a few minutes you are whisked to your destination, avoiding the dreadful experience to trying to get a taxi on your own. Behind the hotel or on the side streets some wonderful little restaurants and ouzeri, especially for lunch. Also, the Titania is very close to Metro station (Panepistimiou or Omonoia) and several bus and trolley-bus lines for city destinations like the Archaeological Museum.

"Great Greek traditional and modern Hotel!!!!!"
Ive stayed at the hotel a couple of times and it never seems to unsatisfy me. Its a hotel that is modern and renovated but also has alot of Greek traditional elements such as greek statues and olive trees and branches on the roof garden and on mosaic prints all over the lobby walls. The rooms are very cozy and homely and the ones on the upper floors have a great view of the Acropolis. You should not miss going to the Olive Garden. Great delicious food with a great view of the Acropolis combined with great service and hospitality. Located in the centre of athens and has easy access to all tousist and commercial parts. Im surely staying there when i go back again.Keep up the good work Titania

Heterosexual middle-aged couple
Great location, very close to all means of public transportation, but also within walking distance to Syntagma and Omonia Square and Monastiraki, the flea market center of Athens. The breakfast was good, with an excellent variety of foods and great service. The room was comfortable, clean and very quiet when the windows were closed, even though it faced the very busy Panepistimiou Street. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The only negative comment we had was that the room was hot to the point of causing us headaches, and the only way to get it to cool down was opening the window. Overall we were very happy with our stay and we would recommend this hotel to anyone.
