Occupying a late-19th-century building, this neo-Renaissance hotel stands on a corner, two blocks from the main train station. Just three blocks from the hotel stands the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, whose splendid mosaics date from the 5th and 13th centuries. Each year on December 8, the Pope holds mass in the cathedral.

"clean, friendly and spacious"
Needed to stay in Rome longer than had originally booked. The hotel we stayed in the night before could not accomodate us an extra night and we were forced to search for alternate accom. What a blessing in disguise this turned out to be! The staff were very friendly, the room bigger and cleaner than the other hotel - and considerably cheaper. Also had the best bathroom amenities I encountered anywhere in Italy! Great place - will stay there next time in Rome

"A Good Value and great location."
We arrived in Rome after a cruise of the Greek Islands. The hotel is well located and was clean and the staff friendly. Nice touches...crisp linen hand towels in the baths, cold breakfast on the rooftop was delicious.The hotel has some recent renovations. The staff helped arrange our tours. We were surprised the bar just off the lobby was not open either night of our stay. They finally open it at 7:30 pm one evening just as we were leaving for dinner. One word of caution...watch out for the step at the landing of the main stairway. I slipped and my head crashed into the marble steps.

Transferred to this hotel after being bumped from another hotel. Location 5 minutes walk from Termini and bus station. Very good breakfast on the sun terrace. Room standard very good and comfy twin beds. No view but quiet. Management very helpful

"Hotel Torino is an excellant hotel for the price!"
My wife & I just came back from a trip to Rome. We stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Torino. It's a great hotel that is close to the main train station & a 15-20 min walk from all the major sites. The hotel staff was very friendly & helpful. The bed in the first room the first night (room 313) had a bed with lumps. My wife talked to the front desk & they moved us to room 27...no problems. It was smaller but the bed was a lot better! It was great eating breakfast on the outdoor terrance in the top floor. The breakfast contained fruits, cereal, danishs, meats, juice & coffee. I'd definately stay in this hotel again!

"Great City"
Rome, the eternal city is a fantastic place for a city break. As a party of 4, we booked 2 twin rooms both of which were very clean with most importantly a modern, clean bathroom! The hotel was an ideal base from which to explore the city and was convenient for the Termini railway, bus and metro stations. Breakfast was continental style, (large selection of chees, hams, cereal, buns and tea & coffee) and they cater for tourists who don't want to be up at the crack of dawn as its served until 10am. If i was going back, I would stay at the Torino.

"Great Breakfast! Clean Rooms"
This hotel has a great fullllll breakfast that's included in all the rooms. If you go all the way to the top floor, they have the breakfast room, fillled with all kinds of juices, hams (even prosciutto), fresh fruits, yogurts, fresh bread, sweet cakes, eggs, etc. (The breakfast would save you a lot of money, especially since everything tends to be expensive in Rome) The room was exceptionally clean. I went last thanksgiving and I think they just renovated and it was very clean and new. The staff is very courteous and speaks very good english.

"A Nice Hotel"
On arrival we were met by a friendly member of staff who was polite, efficient and took the time to show us where the various sites were on the map. The room on the 6th floor which had an east facing window, was small but was the only hotel (1 of 4) on our holiday that had a double matress. All the others were 2 singles. Breakfast on the terrace was excellent and the terrace could be used for sun lounging if you asked the staff to unlock the door! Very convenient for the sights and also had a lot of convenience stores for those essentials nearby. We would stay here again.
