This 5-star luxurious Torrequebrada Hotel is located in the heart of the "Costa del Sol", between the towns of Benalmadena and Torremolinos, 15-km away from Malaga's city centre. The hotel is conveniently situated alongside a semi-private beach. Stylish and luxurious accommodation with all up-to-date amenities in an ideal location by the sea.

The property is an 11-storey modern building from 1988 and renovated in 2004. The "Torrequebrada" Casino, opened in 1979, is one of the most famous on the "Costa del Sol" and numerous events and tournaments takes place here. In the Casino complex guests can enjoy flamenco and an international show in the "Fortuna" Night Club.

The rooms are spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. They have been elegantly decorated combining classic and contemporary styles, with decor in terracotta and green colours scheme. The rooms have comfortable beds with quality bedding. The bathrooms are also spacious and are very well-appointed.

LOCATION

Torrequebrada Hotel is conveniently located on the beachfront of the "Costa del Sol", between the town of Benalmadena and Torremolinos. The hotel's area is called "Torrequebrada" after the Torre Quebrada watch tower, built by the Moors 500 years ago, and within view of the hotel. Malaga's city centre is 15-km away can be easily reached by taxi or car taking the highway N-340. The hotel has excellent access to all the main roads, providing easy link to attractions such as the popular Buddhist Stupa Temple and the numerous golf courses nearby.

* The "Pavillon" Restaurant serves Mediterranean and international cuisine. The restaurant overlooks the sea and it's surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants. It's decorated with cane furniture and marble floors.

* The "Cafe Royal" offers innovative Mediterranean cuisine with views of the sea and the large and leafy garden. Fresh fish is barbecued outdoors during the summer.

* The health and fitness centre, located at the garden level offers an indoor heated pool, saunas, gymnasiums and a tennis court.

* This contemporary hotel has 350 air-conditioned guestrooms, all with furnished balconies overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Rooms have a terracotta-and-green color scheme. "Excellent for golfing break"
A group of 4 of us stayed there this week and we thought it was excellent. We got a great deal via Alpharooms and paid only £26 pppn for B&B. What a bargain. Lovely room on 10th floor (1016) overlooking the sea and towards the distant marina. Great buffet breakfasts. Couldn't fault quality or quantity. Hotel very quiet at this time of year except for a small conference and about 40 guests in such a big place. Maybe that's why we got a deal. Nothing much to do in the immediate area but a 15 min. walk or short taxi ride takes you to the hot-spots. As we were golfing every day, we didn't use the hotel grounds much but they seemed nice enough. The weather was surprisingly pleasant for March (20- 28C) during the day and the golf was great at Torrequebrada, Santana and Rio Real courses. The Casino was fairly quiet and the hotel bar was dead, but for our purposes it was a terrific choice. All the guys want to go back next time. Rooms were standard but well maintained and appointed. The hotel is now a "Non Smoking" establishment which is great news for all sensible people.

"A Quality Hotel"
I had already booked 5 nights at the Torrequebrada before reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. I must say I was rather worried at the negative feedback, but now that I have stayed there I am quite puzzled. It is a five star hotel with all the facilities you would expect.The rooms are more on par with a 3 to 4 star but very comfortable and spotlessly clean. All rooms have a sea view from the balcony(mostly a side view but nevertheless a very good view). We only had bed and breakfast but what a breakfast! I cannot think of anything that was not on the buffet (even smoked salmon and champagne!)honestly the food was excellent. We did not eat dinner there only because it was expensive, quite understandable in a five star hotel. The walk in to Benalmadena was about 15 minutes on a pavement next to a busy road, but with pleasant views on the other side.When you think about it all Spanish resorts have a busy road right through the centre and this was no different. The hotel gardens were gorgeous and the view from the breakfast room stunning. If you search the net you can get very good prices for this hotel and you will get excellent value for money.

"Enjoyable stay"
We stayed on 11th floor, facing the Mediterranean, and were blessed with excellent weather. Breakfast on the balcony was delightful, and facility compared favorably to the other hotels we have used in Spain, for both business and pleasure (El Fuerte in Marbella, Melia Castilla and Tryp Fenix in Madrid, Sol in Gran Canaria, and Don Pancho in Benidorm). Restaurant was excellent, room service good, and casino ambient. The management and front desk personnel were efficient, but were I involved in management of this facility, would train to be a bit more outgoing and "warm" in their demeanor. We reside in southwestern Missouri and northeastern Oklahoma, U. S. A.
