Highly Recommended for both Business & Leisure
I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in July 2007 whilst attending a conference at the University, just three blocks away. The location of the hotel is great: it is easy to explore the city on foot from there. It is also close to the Tube :) The hotel slogan is 'you smile is our job', which really seemed to be true: all staff was lovely, helpful and friendly. Rooms have quality decor and they are very clean and pleasant. The only downside is that there is no air con, so it can be hot in the summer (but there is a poweful fan for your comfort). Breakfast is excellent! After continental buffet with excellent choice me & my friends most enjoyed the extras like fresh berries and fresh fruit like mango and peaches: you don't often get that! The hotel price is very reasonable, and for everything it was, I thought it was a bargain!! It really is cheap for a quality city hotel, in comparison to what you get in other European capitals for such a money. Will definately stay again, when in Vienna. |

"Very good choice for vienna"
Just returned from a 4 day trip to Vienna. My wife and I stayed in this hotel and I can honestly say that we did not regret it at all. The most positive thing about Rathauspark is that it is very well positioned, in the centre of the first district with is the ‘heart’ of the old Vienna. The metro and the tram are 2 min walk. The hotel itself seems newly renovated which adds a few points. The breakfast has more than enough. The only negative point is that my room was connected through a door (which of course was locked) with the next room so even whispering could be heard. Other than that this hotel is an excellent choice.

"A very good hotel!"
I stayed 4 nights between 05 and 09 of october and I liked very much of this hotel. It is very very good located, close to the city hall, and 15 minutes distant from KarntnerStrasse, the main street. I asked, at the reservation, for a non-smoking room with air conditioned. My room was in 6th floor, a huge room with nice beds and a tv. The bathroom was very clean, with a nice bathtub. The staff are good, but when I asked for a tylenol they only said that they didn't have one. The breakfast is good but it has many things that we don't eat in the morning, like tuna and olives. A fresh bread with a good chocolate and butter would resolve the problem. Be careful about their "early breakfast", served at 05:00 am: it is horrible! They serve a dry cake with an acid orange juice! Don't drink it!
I highly recommend this hotel!

"What great customer service"
I reserved two rooms for two nights at this hotel. I did not ever receive a confirmation from [-] (to this day I'm not certain which website I used to book the reservation) and scrambled to find another hotel one day before our trip. I received an email after I returned home from the Hotel Manager at the Austria Trend Rathauspark saying that I would be charged for the first night, as I had not cancelled the room 24 hours prior to the reservation date. I emailed her directly, explaining that I was never sent the confirmation, and therefore did not know I had a confirmed reservation. After three very professional, timely emails from her, she understood my situation and said that she would not charge me for the un-cancelled rooms. She invited me to stay there next time I am in Vienna, and based on the location and the wonderful customer service, I am certain I will.
