"Friendly Staff & Loved the Old World Charm" After reading some of the other reviews of this hotel, I was feeling a little anxious about my stay. However, I am delighted to say that my experience was fantastic! Even though the room was basic, it suited my needs - the room was also in the older part of the hotel. The staff were always willing to help, and the barman was a real gentleman as well! It was great that the hotel was only a few mins walk to the underground, so made getting around quite easy. The breakfast was a great spread as well - a feast for a king! I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

"Fantastic" This hotel is really a bargain. We stayed 4 nights in a Deluxe room and we paid 80 € per nights including breakfast. Our room was very clean and it was really spacious, with 2 bathrooms (!), TV, mini bar and safe deposit box. Hotel has an aristocratic atmosphere, with beautiful ceilings on the ground floor as it was the Emperor’s guest house, hence its proximity to Schönbrunn Palace. Nowadays decoration shows old and the maintenance seems to be difficult but it has a special feeling. There is an inside swimming pool, bars and restaurants. Breakfast is served in the Grand Ballroom, which is fantastic. Breakfast is rich but service is chaotic. Hotel has more than 400 rooms and is full with tourist groups. There is also a large and safe underground parking for your car which costs about 15 € per day. The hotel is on a busy road, 100 m from the nearest metro station (Hietzing) and it's 20 minutes to the centre by metro. Right opposite is the entrance of the zoo and the gardens of Schönbrunn Palace. Overall, it’s one of the best 4 star hotel I’ve ever stayed plus it has a unique atmosphere and its price is a fantastic surprise.

"fab if you can get a deal!" This place is quite a find if you're on a budget. There are some amazing deals on the net for the same price as some awful central vienna hotels. Yes its a bit faded around the edges but it still has charm especially the impressive lobby. The pool is really nice and the breakfast buffet is great - you get viennese cakes and everything! Although its not central the location is actually really nice - the parks of the schonbrun palace across the road are so lovely and you can explore them for free. In addition, there's a great beerhall/restaurant round the corner serving huge portions of ribs and schnitzel for bargain basement prices.
