"Nice hotel, good service"
Stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a tour to Europe in March 2005. The hotel itself is a little out of the way and not in the best location to see all the beauty of Venice, however, it is a very clean and the service was fine. The room itself consisted of two single beds, which we requested, but not alot of additional space as is often the case everywhere in Europe. The overall appearance of the room and the bathroom was very clean, so I can't complain there. We received a free continental breakfast as part of the tour, so am not sure whether you can get this included with your room. It consisted of fresh bakery items; croissants and buns, cheeses, boiled eggs, fresh fruits, cereals, and coffee or teas. The staff was very helpful with any requests we made for extra pillows, currency questions, etc. If you were going to be in Venice for a longer period of time, I would recommend staying at a hotel nearer to St. Marks Square so that you're right there to sightsee, although travel to and from this hotel was easy with the public transportation available nearby. All in all, I would recommend it.

"Perfect location"
We went to this hotel in June for a short trip to Venice, We were initially a little worried as it is outside of Venice but we couldnt have chosen a better location, the train station is just across the road from the hotel and in a few short minutes on a super train we were in the centre of Venice. This hotel is beautiful and very very clean, the staff were friendly and very smart, our room was lovely and the breakfast was great, the hotel was decorated with fabulous sculptures in Venetian glass, there is an outside area to sit and have a drink. I would go back there again for sure when I return to Venice. One huge tip is if you go to Marco Polo airport for your return flight then go HUNGRY as they have the best food of any airport I have ever been too, and for so little money, steaks cooked to order and the most amazing salads, cakes, Pizzas, all home cooked, better than any restaurant we went to on our trip. do yourself a huge favour and eat there!

"Great Hotel, Great Location!"
My husband and I stayed at the Tritone for three nights and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is in the perfect location, just across from the train station in Mestre and it couldn't be easier to get to Venice. Trains run all day, and you get a ticket from the vending machine for 1 Euro. We got an excellent rate through Easyjet Hotels - almost 70 Euros a night better than anyone else! The hotel is clean, the staff friendly and the rooms were a good size. We were lucky to get a room on the top floor with a large balcony. It overlooked mainly the industrial port, but you could see Venice in the background! Overall, I would definitely stay here again. We were looking at other hotels in Mestre because of the prices in Venice, but you can't beat the convenience of this hotel. Overall - I would definitely recommend!

"A great base for Venice"
This is a great base to visit Venice. We could not fault the hotel or the staff. Situated across the road from the station and airport bus links it is much easier than pulling your case around Venice(especially if the water bus is on strike, as happened during our visit). We bought a 25 euro 3 day pass which gave us unlimited travel throughout are stay, so you can visit all the islands by boat and it only took minutes on the no2 bus or one stop on the train to get there. I hope there is always a vacancy here whenever we visit Venice.

September 2004. Very conveniently placed for train and bus services. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, what they didn't know they found out for us. Room was very clean, towels changed daily. Good continental breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

"Highly Recommended for a visit to Venice"
My family and I stayed here for 3 days. The hotel is right across the street from the Train Station with very frequent trains going to Venice Sta. Lucia Station. If you prefer the bus (bus and vaporetto service are both valid when you buy a pass), it goes from the Train Station right to Piazale Roma which is a also a stop on the vaporetto service in Venice. Train or bus...just a few minutes to the canals of Venice! The hotel is very comfortable with excellent air conditioning. Breakfast was first rate. Great helpful and friendly staff. If you need a car rental, Europcar is right around the corner.
