Tropical Hotel opened his doors in July 1990 and changed recently of owner. Since July 2003 the new owner is M. Alexandre Willems. M. Willems is also the owner of the well known gastronomic restaurant "Kokejane" in Herne (13th best restaurant according to the Guide Lemaire 2003)

Five years ago the existing infrastructure has been completed by a new seminar room, 8 more rooms, an outdoor tennis court and an ornamental pond called 'the Japanese garden'.

The hotel's seminar rooms permit all kind of meetings, conferences, exhibitions. The hotel proposes "all-in" residential and non-residential seminar packages.

LOCATION

Tropical Hotel is quietly located in a green setting on the 'hill of Durbuy' at 1km from the city centre.

Well-known as the smallest town in the world, Durbuy offers a lot of recreational facilities such as, sport activities: kayak, mountainbiking, rafting, sport challenge, golf, teambuilding exercices for companies, cultural visits: guided visit of Durbuy, Diamond Museum, brewery Marckloff, marmalade factory of Saint-Amour, museum of W�ris, Parc des Topiaires, manifestations: all the year through there are manifestations of all kind in Durbuy. Chocolate market, Christmas market, Festival of beer and cheese.

2 golf-links are located close to the hotel: Golf de Durbuy: 9 and 18 holes, practice 30 places. Situated at 4 kms from the hotel. Five Nations Golfclub in M�an: situated at 5 minutes from the Hotel, this golf course offers a wide variety of landscapes.
