This traditional hotel was opened in 1976 and offers a pleasant Caribbean ambience with sprawling indoor and outdoor areas.
This imposing five-story hotel stretches on for a hundred yards or so in each direction from its blocky concrete lobby. This place hosts many group and package tours, and it's usually pretty lively. Still, it's hard not to find the Soviet-style architecture of this resort a little depressing, particularly the rectangular pool, wedged in to a shady area in an alcove of the building.
The whole complex has been remodeled and the rooms and facilities are in decent shape.
Its external gardens and interiors accentuate the Caribbean atmosphere of the Tropicoco Hotel, to few meters of the coast and conceived so that enjoyment and relief are the main characters of your vacations.
This hotel constitutes an entire symbol inside the group of beaches located to the east of Havana and it is one of the best lodging options in Santa María del Mar. |

t was designed to guarantee guests a vacation full of rest and relaxation. A symbol among the beaches in the eastern part of Havana, it is one of the best vacation spots in Santa María.

clean rooms
I loved my stay at Tropicoco. Lovely staff helped me whenever I asked. The room was quiet basic but adequate. Housekeeping was efficient, my room was very clean. Foods were OK, I was impressed by espresso! There is Havana tour shuttle available you can learn from the lobby. Fine dining & accomodation. I recommend. |
